Extreme winter weather has been causing problems for millions across the East Coast, but it has also made for some beautiful sights.

Among those beautiful sights is Niagara Falls, which has now frozen over due to temperatures which dropped to 16F on Wednesday.

And it looks like the popular tourist destination may stay frozen, as temperatures are expected to drop even lower come Thursday.    Continue reading “Niagara Falls freezes over”

Washington–President Obama today signed into law the “America’s Secret Services Helping Our Liberties Endure” act, or ASSHOLE.

“This much needed piece of legislation will give us the tools we need to place an ASSHOLE on nearly every street corner, making our great country impervious to another 9/11,” said the president, adding “There will be an ASSHOLE on your cell phone, an ASSHOLE monitoring your ISP and many more ASSHOLE’s in our schools, work places and other public meeting places where al Qaeda types can and do flourish.”   Continue reading “An “A.S.S.H.O.L.E.” Will Be Everywhere, Promises President Obama”

The cholesterol-lowering statin drug empire continues to crumble. This past Sunday (February 15, 2015) the Sunday Express in the UK published a headline story stating that Oxford professor Dr. Rory Collins, whose research had been used to support putting millions of patients on statin drugs, was reassessing the data behind those studies for possible drug side effects they might have missed previously.

According to the Express:

Although the original research looked at the effect of statins on the heart and considered cancer risks it did not examine other side effects.

Back in the good old days, we might order a hundred pizzas to someone’s house, or sign them up for unsavoury email newsletters, but today’s online pranksters go to the extremes. The new thing is calling SWAT teams to people’s houses. Like, assault-rifles-pointed-at-your-family SWAT teams.

Kotaku reports that last week, 60,000 people watched Runescape streamer Koopatroopa787, aka Joshua Peters, abruptly leave his stream after his mother told him cops were at the door. He later released a video tearfully explaining that the SWAT team came in, had pointed an assault rifle at his 10 year old brother, and that if something had gone wrong, the idiot who’d called the SWAT team to his house could’ve gotten Peters’ family killed.    Continue reading “Swatting: The fun new hobby where you get SWAT teams to storm innocent people’s houses”

Joe Biden got very hands on with Stephanie Carter (above) on TuesdayWashington Post – by Nia-Malika Henderson

We’ve been here so many times with Joe Biden, the world’s most powerful close talker, that it hardly seems worth commenting on. The woman whose ear Biden appears to be whispering into is Stephanie Carter, Ashton’s wife. Why Biden is doing this only he knows.   Continue reading “Joe Biden takes ‘being Biden’ to new heights”

When the Negotium essay, Long History of HSBC Money Laundering was written over two years ago, one might think that the Banksters would look to take a lower profile. Forget about it, when you are part of a made criminal syndicate you never have to serve time, just say you are sorry. Bloomberg reports, the “HSBC Holdings Plc Chief Executive Officer Stuart Gulliver offered “sincerest apologies” following fresh details of how the bank’s Swiss unit helped customers evade taxes.”

The Forbes column, ‘Corporate Governance Is The Very Essence Of A Business’ presents a half hearted public relations spin from the notorious bank for Drug, Inc.   Continue reading “HSBC Corporate Governance Corruption”

The United States has “a long tradition of welcoming refugees,” and it expects to welcome thousands more of them from Syria in 2015 and 2016, despite concerns about foreign fighters, the State Department said.

“The United States has admitted 524 Syrians since 2011. We’re likely to admit 1,000 to 2,000 Syrian refugees for permanent resettlement in Fiscal Year 2015 and a somewhat higher number, though still in the low thousands, in Fiscal Year 2016,” spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters on Friday.   Continue reading “U.S. Expects to Quadruple the Number of Syrian Refugees Brought Here”

GERMANTOWN (WITI) — Thanks to man’s best friend and some quick police work, a Germantown woman is alive.

Early Friday morning, February 13th, John Boy, a black labrador, was found running around the Autumn Ridge neighborhood off of County Line Rd. in Germantown.

“He stood there and barked a little bit, then I rolled down my window and called to him. Then he wagged his tail and got more friendly until I got out of my car. And then he ran a little bit,” said Jeff Gonzalez of the Germantown Police Department.   Continue reading ““He pointed me in the right direction:” Dog leads officer to his owner, slumped over in chair”
