Ebola appears to be very good for business at Lakeland Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: LAKE), the manufacturer of hazmat suits which says it has received orders for 1 million of the outfits designed to shield people against biological hazards.

Many of those orders are from the US government.   Continue reading “Small Company Can’t Make Ebola Hazmat Suits Fast Enough”

Everyone has their own vision in their own mind’s eye of what America is, and what they try to see is what they like most about the place. Some people see America as a shining beacon of freedom and justice for the world to emulate. Some people see our country as a fountain of wealth. Many people believe that America represents the pinnacle of human achievement, and some see boundless natural beauty. It has the fairest form of government the world has ever seen, enjoyed by a population with the world’s highest standard of living. What’s not to like about the place?

The dreams have been shattered, like every dream; revealed to be only an illusion upon waking up.   Continue reading “The Road to America”

I’ve been asked several times about this NY Post article on the CDC’s “admission” that a sneeze could spread Ebola. The Post (which, I should note, is the least credible newspaper in New York City, for those not familiar with the paper) suggests that the CDC has changed their tune regarding the spread of Ebola.

Except, they haven’t, and this is a ridiculous, trumped-up non-story, passed along not only by the Post but by others of the typical suspects like conspiracy theorist extraordinaire Mike Adams, aka “The Health Ranger” of Natural News.   Continue reading “Mike Adams and NY Post promote more hysteria over Ebola”

A Maine official said Friday that Kaci Hickox’s roommate while she helped Ebola patients in Africa has been diagnosed with Ebola, WAGM-TV reports.

“The respondent’s roommate in Africa became infected without knowing how she became infected with Ebola,” said Sheila Pinette with the Maine Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adding that “any potential risk to respondent from that incident has passed.”

It’s also unclear exactly how Dallas nurses Nina Pham and Amber Vinson, the only two people to become infected with Ebola within the U.S., contracted the disease.   Continue reading “Report: Kaci Hickox’s Roommate In Africa Has Ebola”

What requires about half the amount of water to be produced when compared to cotton, and requires NO pesticides to grow? Hemp, and Hawaii is already researching the growth of industrial hemp as a bio-fuel with numerous uses. Are other states aiming to follow?

Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie has already signed the bill, S.B. 2175, which authorizes the growth and cultivation of industrial hemp in accordance with requirements established by the 2014 Farm Bill. Hawaii can take advantage of this bill because it had already legalized industrial hemp cultivation in the past.   Continue reading “Hawaii Makes Use of Hemp as BioFuel, Other States to Follow?”

MOUNTAINHOME, Pa. (AP) — Scott Malkowski, a task force commander with the U.S. Marshals Service, spied a figure moving from the woods toward an abandoned airplane hangar in the Pocono Mountains. Looking at his face, his black hat and fleece, and his height and weight, Malkowski was certain he had his man.

“Suspect,” he told the two operators by his side, and they fanned out on either side of their quarry, who had no idea he’d just been spotted. Hidden by tall grass, Malkowski moved stealthily toward his target, adrenaline coursing through his body.   Continue reading “‘We just had a hunch’: US marshals nab Eric Frein”

Federal employees who are issued so-called purchase cards are permitted to spend up to $3,000 — known as “micropurchases” — and do not have to disclose those purchases publicly.

A House Oversight subcommittee held a congressional hearing earlier this month on misuses of the government credit card, asking why federal employees were swiping the card for seemingly personal things like hair cuts, gym memberships and movie tickets.   Continue reading “Report: DHS employees put $30,000 worth of Starbucks on government credit card”

Can anyone believe it with all the other hoaxes that are occurring that there is really a cop killing fugitive, named Eric Fein, on the loose? Moreover, it is advertised with billboards, just like the Christopher Dorner hoax? Who finds any of this believable? As this is assessed it appears that there i a pattern which is used as a basis for such hoax. One such pattern is the lone shooter who is also a “survivalist” who escapes into the woods. He will live off the land, and will gun down any government agent that comes anywhere near him. He is armed and dangerous, and the whole world is on the lookout for him.   Continue reading “Killing of Pennsylvania Trooper by Fugitive Eric Fein is a Hoax”

Seepage at bottom of dam causes early lowering of Boone Lake - PHOTOSJohnson City Press – by Tony Casey

A chink in the Boone Dam’s armor has Tennessee Valley Authority officials starting the annual depth drawdown of Boone Lake about five weeks ahead of schedule.

When an Oct. 20 inspection of the dam revealed a sink hole — a common occurrence — TVA workers repaired it quickly. Six days later, an uncommon occurrence happened when seepage was found near the location of the sink hole at the base of the dam.

John McCormick, TVA vice president of river operations, assures the dam is structurally sound, but said the TVA is “exercising an abundance of caution.”   Continue reading “Seepage at bottom of dam causes early lowering of Boone Lake”

Hillary Clinton was heckled repeatedly by immigration activists while speaking at a campaign rally for Anthony Brown, the Democratic nominee for Maryland governor.

“Immigration is an important issue,” Clinton said as the first wave of protesters were escorted from a University of Maryland gymnasium where the rally for Brown was held. “If they had just waited a little while, I was getting to the Dream Act.”   Continue reading “Hillary Clinton heckled by immigration activists in Maryland”

A U.S. judge on Monday made a sweeping cut to a $9 billion punitive damages settlement, slicing it down to a trifling $36.8 million against Takeda Pharmaceutical Co and Eli Lilly & Co over their diabetes drug, Actos.

District Judge Rebecca Doherty of Louisiana granted a motion in court for the two drug makers to get off practically scot-free, considering the reduction in joint punitive damages amounts to a fraction of the original award, and represents nothing to pharmaceutical companies that usually gross in the several billions. (Eli Lilly made more than $18.21 billion in gross sales just last year.)   Continue reading “Judge Cuts Big Pharma Damages Award from $9 Billion to $36 Million over Diabetes Drug Lawsuit”
