SAINT-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU, Que. – A solider hit by a car driven by a “radicalized” Quebec man has died, police say.

Attitudes toward medical ailments and treatment vary widely, usually based upon the degree of trust in the type of health care practice that a patient believes to be the best healing method. The AMA is an advocacy association that promotes the validity of medical therapy heavily based upon manufactured designer drugs. The establishment corporatist scientists have a tendency to claim a corner on proof. However, they often expound on their accepted view using selective memory. Facts can stand in the way of implementing the master plan when the “so called” humanitarian benefits remain elusive or worse, detrimental. Neighbors clustered along the edges of McGavockPike Wednesday, sharing photos and shaking their heads as they peered at the aftermath of a horrific tractor-trailer crash that claimed the life of a woman who was asleep in her bed.
In whispers, they tried to piece together the sequence of events that led an 18-wheeler hauling 40,000 pounds of pumpkins to veer across the two-lane roadway and break through the brick facade of a modest house near the intersection with Kimberly Drive in Donelson. The semi slammed into Carol Boo’s bedroom around 3:30 a.m. Continue reading “Truck hauling pumpkins crashed into home, killing woman”
Researchers from Columbia Engineering and the Georgia Institute of Technology report today that they have made the first experimental observation of piezoelectricity and the piezotronic effect in an atomically thin material, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), resulting in a unique electric generator and mechanosensation devices that are optically transparent, extremely light, and very bendable and stretcha
Piezoelectricity is a well-known effect in which stretching or compressing a material causes it to generate an electrical voltage (or the reverse, in which an applied voltage causes it to expand or contract). But for materials of only a few atomic thicknesses, no experimental observation of piezoelectricity has been made, until now. The observation reported today provides a new property for two-dimensional materials such as molybdenum disulfide, opening the potential for new types of mechanically controlled electronic devices. With the threat of the Ebola virus spreading, there is a need to understand what natural options are readily available to you in case you don’t want to be subjected to conventional medical treatments and infected patients in hospitals. The only proven system to help eradicate the Ebola virus is your body’s immune system, and it is of primary importance to start strengthening its response now to give yourself the best chance of successfully fighting off an infection. There’s a knock on your door. Upon responding, you see two police officers who inform you, “We’ve come to inspect your firearms and look over your place, sir.” In a land known for onerous gun control and even proposals for knife control, this has become a reality for lawful gun owners in a move critics decry as excessive government control.
That land would be Britain, where, writes The Register’sGareth Corfield:
The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) has announced a legal tweak intended to allow police officers to turn up at the homes of gun owners, without warning, and demand to inspect guns stored on the premises. A new Crimestoppers hotline is also in operation to encourage people to dob in gun owners they suspect of wrongdoing. However, as even the police themselves admit, gun crime is falling. The regular consumption of fizzy drinks accelerates cellular aging of tissues, according to a new study by American scientists. People who enjoy daily carbonated sodas experience DNA changes, aging their cells by four years.
After studying over 5,300 “healthy adults” in the US – aged between 20 and 65 years old, who had no history of diabetes or cardiovascular disease – the researchers found that the biological age of those who have been drinking fizzy drinks daily was increased – thus potentially shortening their lifespan.
Cell aging, prompted by sugary soft drinks including cola, is similar to the aging caused by excessive smoking, says the report, which was published in the American Journal of Public Health. Continue reading “Minus 4 years of life: Study links soft drinks to accelerated cell aging”

Not only are foodstuffs, medical supplies—even clinics—going to ISIS, the distribution networks are paying ISIS ‘taxes’ and putting ISIS people on their payrolls.
GAZIANTEP, Turkey—While U.S. warplanes strike at the militants of the so-called Islamic State in both Syria and Iraq, truckloads of U.S. and Western aid has been flowing into territory controlled by the jihadists, assisting them to build their terror-inspiring “caliphate.” Continue reading “U.S. Humanitarian Aid Going to ISIS”

As the Metropolitan Opera began its first performance of John Adams’s “The Death of Klinghoffer” on Monday night, police officers were posted inside the opera house, protesters in wheelchairs lined Columbus Avenue and the opera had become the subject of a charged debate about art and Middle East politics that reverberated from City Hall to a large rally, several hundred strong, at Lincoln Center. The World Health Organisation declared on Monday that Nigeria is free of Ebola, a rare victory in the months-long battle against the disease.
Nigeria’s containment of Ebola is a “spectacular success story”, WHO country director Rui Gama Vaz told a news conference in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja. Nigeria reported 20 cases of Ebola, including eight deaths. One of those who died was an airline passenger who brought Ebola to Nigeria and died soon after. The owners of nearly 5 million vehicles are being urged to take immediate action as a result of a massive recall to replace potentially defective airbags that have been linked with multiple deaths in recent months. The recall impacts cars, SUVs, vans and trucks manufactured by Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, BMW and General Motors (GM) from 2000 through 2006.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall of more than 4.7 million vehicles Monday, and has set up an online vehicle identification number (VIN) look-up tool at this link. Drivers can simply type a vehicle’s VIN to determine whether it is affected by the recall and needs service. Continue reading “AirBag Recall: 4.7 Million Vehicles Require Immediate Service”
