Excerpted from Campus Reform: A Christian club at Chico State University (CSU) may lose its status as a campus group because its requirement that its leaders be Christians violates a state anti-discrimination policy.
The California State University system said asking leaders to sign a statement of faith violates a 2011 executive order which forbids discrimination based on “race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, color, age, gender, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or disability.” Continue reading “Campus Christian Club Found Guilty Of Discrimination For Requiring Its Leaders To Be Christians”
A few hundred Ukrainian protesters rallying at the Russian embassy in Kiev have overturned several diplomatic cars and piled up tires to block entry into the building. They have also and thrown stones, smoke grenades, eggs, and paint at the premises.
Police stood idly by as the anti-Moscow crowd blockaded the site, expressing its anger over the Russian government’s alleged involvement in the Ukrainian crisis. Continue reading “Protesters throw stones, firecrackers, Molotov cocktail at Russian embassy in Kiev”
NASA will test out new space exploration technology – including some used for asteroid landings – by having its teams live on the ocean floor off Florida coast for extended periods of time in two upcoming summer missions.
The so-called ‘aquanauts’ will only get down to about 19 meters below, but that is enough to perform the crucial task of assessing new gear that will help the agency’s astronauts live in orbit more comfortably and even assist future asteroid landings and explorations. NEW YORK (AP) — The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) appears to be on the brink of handing a major victory to a movement that wants institutions to wield their investment dollars against Israel over its treatment of the Palestinians.
The Presbyterian General Assembly, gathering in Detroit through next week, will consider withdrawing its investments from some companies whose products are used by the Israeli government in the Palestinian territories. Divestment advocates were narrowly outmaneuvered at the last Presbyterian convention in 2012, losing a crucial ballot by just two votes. They enter this year’s fight with signs of increasing momentum, within and outside the church. Continue reading “Presbyterians in key moment on Israel, divestment”

The below listed BREAKING news press release was drafted in response to my column and related email titled, “OIG & FOIA REQUEST: Homeland Security Police Harassing and Intimidating Veterans at Mission Valley VA Clinic.
It is our position that the unannounced exercises conducted by the Federal Protective Services (FPS) at the VA Medical Facilities in Mission Valley, CA while Veteran patients were seeking medical support from doctors, was “oppressive” and was being conducted in violation of standard law enforcement practices and procedures (armed individuals wearing black, carrying weapons, wearing bullet proof vests, with leased guard dogs, helmets, dark glasses, while refusing to identify themselves, threatened Veterans with arrest when they tried to take photos & asked the FPS Officers to identify themselves; there actions patrolling up and own corridors in the VA Medical Center frightened elderly patients & their wives). A quaint comparison of what money can buy in today’s market has Bill Gates being able to afford every home in Boston. His $76.6 billion reported by the Washington Post or the $78.4 billion by Forbes seems a pittance when put up against John D. Rockefeller’s peak wealth of $318.3 billion (based on 2007 US dollar).
According to your resident commissars over at MSNBC, “The median net worth of American households hasn’t changed much over the past decades, it’s about $20,000.” So if Gates decided to purchase all the Beantown houses, whom would he pay for the bricks and mortar? Certainly, most Americans may think of ”their home is their castle”, but few actually own a debt free deed to their grand estate. No wonder the banks and financial institutions, are so fond of placing liens on real property. Continue reading “Buying Up America”: The Individual Wealth of US Billionaires”

This past weekend we were told that a ‘shooting spree’ occurred about five miles from the Vegas strip, a place better known for its seedy sin-filled entertainment, mafia-run blackjack tables, high-roller roulette and closed door prostitution. The Casino-laden city appears to be a permanent stage for criminal activity of a new sort…
The highly publicized Las Vegas shooting that involved a husband and wife that had apparently filled a shopping cart full of weapons and ammunition seemed to be shocking at first glance, however, after it was revealed that the couple walked some four miles to take the lives of two metropolitan police officers at close range inside CiCi’s pizzeria, something seemed amiss as there wasn’t a clear motive. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has dismissed reports about the deployment of Iranian forces in Iraq, but expressed Tehran’s preparedness to provide any help upon Baghdad’s request to fight the Takfiri militants.
“The issue of Iranian forces’ engagement [in Iraq] has not been raised so far,” Rouhani said in a Saturday press conference in Tehran marking the first anniversary of his election. Continue reading “No Iranian forces in Iraq: Rouhani”

With very little attention from the media or the courts, budget-stressed police departments in the US are resorting to confiscations of property through so-called “civil forfeiture” procedures, which amount to serious violations of Constitutional rights. Worse still, the Supreme Court has recently sanctioned civil forfeitures in criminal cases—even when law enforcement has not attained a conviction of the party to be expropriated.
For elaboration on the history, trajectory, and dangers of the phenomenon of civil forfeiture and some other governmental transgressions against Constitutional rights, Radio VR’s David Kerans spoke with Washington Times columnist Cheryl Chumley, author of Police State USA: How Orwell’s Nightmare is Becoming Our Reality. Continue reading “Civil Forfeitures as a Step Toward A Police State in America”
The wholesale looting of America and the transfer of wealth and power, along with the complete obliteration of any remaining freedom to protest, resist, or even speak out is now entering its final phase as numerous different pieces of the jigsaw puzzle fall into place and portray a clear picture of tyranny.
We are about to sound the death knell for the United States if our liberty, free speech, sovereignty, and right to not be ruled over is not fiercely opposed and crushed. Continue reading “The Complete Takeover Of America”
(Reuters) – U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel ordered an aircraft carrier moved into the Gulf on Saturday, readying it in case Washington decides to pursue a military option after insurgents overwhelmed a string of Iraqi cities this week and threatened Baghdad.
“The order will provide the Commander-in-Chief additional flexibility should military options be required to protect American lives, citizens and interests in Iraq,” the Pentagon said in a statement. Continue reading “Hagel orders US aircraft carrier to Persian Gulf”
According to the CDC, there’s now another reason to hate mosquitos. ABC reports, “A debilitating virus carried by mosquitoes now in the US. North Carolina has reported its first case of the virus, and some doctors are worried it could spread like the West Nile virus.”
WCNC says, “Forsyth County has confirmed its first case of chikungunya. The person who got sick got it while traveling on vacation down in the Caribbean.” Continue reading “New mosquito-carried virus confirmed in US”
