Fort Detrick /ˈdtrɪk/ is a United States Army Medical Command installation located in Frederick, Maryland. Historically, Fort Detrick was the center of the US biological weapons program from 1943 to 1969. Since the discontinuation of that program, it has hosted most elements of the United States biological defense program.

As of the early 2010s, Fort Detrick’s 1,200-acre (490 ha) campus supports a multi-governmental community that conducts biomedical research and development, medical materiel management, global medical communications and the study of foreign plant pathogens. It is home to the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), with its bio-defense agency, the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID).   Continue reading “GrinNBarrett’s Germ Target”

Let’s face it. It must be oh-so-hard to write law on the fly to take away the civil rights from the citizens of an entire state, as Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey has been attempting to do. One reason it is hard to do is that IT IS NOT HER JOB. Last time I checked, it was the job of the Massachusetts Legislature to write legislation.

But she has been trying very hard to craft legislation that strips citizens of the State from owning semi-automatic weapons with detachable magazines (the dreaded black scary “assault weapons”). That power must be reserved only for the State and its agents.   Continue reading “Attorney General Maura Healey Has Destroyed The Rule Of Law In Massachusetts”

AUSTIN, Texas — Although the Clinton campaign accuses Donald Trump of maintaining ties with the Russian government, another key figure on the Republican candidate’s team may have an agenda of his own in Eastern Europe.

Diplomatic cables from the WikiLeaks archive and a mainstream media investigation suggest that Trump’s current campaign advisor, Paul Manafort, had previously collaborated with U.S. intelligence agencies and served as a key advisor to the Ukrainian government, including its president, Viktor F. Yanukovych, who fled the country after a right-wing coup in 2014.     Continue reading “WikiLeaks: Trump Advisor Paul Manafort Tied To Ukrainian Government, US Intelligence”

2015 was the most devastating year for wildfires in the U.S. More than 10 million acres of forest burned to the ground as raging fires took advantage of dry conditions and crowded, poorly managed forests. The U.S. Forest Service has spent tremendous amounts of resources to put out the fires – resources that could have been used to log the forests, build trails and prevent the fires in the first place.

Now that glyphosate has been denounced by the World Health Organization, there’s a new spray in town from our friendly neighborhood purveyor of poison, Monsanto. It hasn’t yet been approved, but given the history of blatant collusion between Monsanto and the government, there’s little doubt that it will be.

But there’s a bit of a catch: even though dicamba, the newest toxic ingredient in the Monsanto line-up, hasn’t actually been approved for this use by the EPA, it is already being widely used on genetically modified crops…And the illegal spray is killing the crops of neighboring farmers.   Continue reading “Monsanto’s Illegal Poison Kills Neighbors’ Crops *SHOCK UPDATE* The EPA Does Nothing”

An investigation into 10 recent Chicago criminal cases unearthed the extraordinary reach of the state’s “felony murder rule,” which is being used to cover up police crime, as well as prosecute and incarcerate the innocent, according to a report.

“Among the ten recent felony murder cases…three stem from police officers firing at fleeing vehicles in apparent violation of the department’s ‘deadly force’ policy, which since February 2015 has forbidden the practice,”according to findings by the Chicago Reader.   Continue reading “Illinois’ felony murder rule is covering up police crimes — report”

“Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared” is a web series of six enigmatic videos that has grown into a “cult phenomenon”. Behind the weirdness, however, is a deeper message: It is about mass media brainwashing and MKULTRA.

Over the last few years, I’ve received quite a few e-mails regarding Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, a web series involving puppets and a whole lot of creepiness. VC readers astutely identified symbols and messages in the videos that pointed towards a deeper and more disturbing meaning. Now that the final video has been published and the story is complete, I can wholeheartedly agree with these readers: Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared is not merely about random creepiness. Hail a yellow taxi in New York City, and there is a good chance the driver is from another country. Passengers are regularly exposed to a range of languages that span the globe, from Spanish to Bengali to Urdu.

It can be charming, but also maddening for riders who feel that drivers do not understand where they want to go. Don’t you have to speak English, some wonder, to drive a taxi here?

A former Navy machinist mate who admitted taking photos inside a nuclear submarine was sentenced to a year in prison Friday, with a federal judge rebuffing a request for probation in light of authorities deciding not to prosecute Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information on a private email server as secretary of state.

Kristian Saucier’s attorneys argued in a court filing last week that Clinton had been “engaging in acts similar to Mr. Saucier” with information of much higher classification. It would be “unjust and unfair for Mr. Saucier to receive any sentence other than probation for a crime those more powerful than him will likely avoid,” attorney Derrick Hogan wrote.

The Center for Gun Policy and Research is a research center at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health dedicated to researching ways to reducing gun violence in the United States. The center’s current director is Daniel Webster,[1] and its co-director is Jon Vernick.

No matter which side of the gun debate you fall on, we can all agree that gun laws are confusing. As ValueWalk.com notes, there are federal laws, state laws, and local municipal laws, all of which can be contradictory.

There is still debate as to whether the Second Amendment is intended to give individuals the right to keep and bear arms or whether that right was meant as a collective to protect the state, though rulings in the last decade have upheld an individual’s right to bear arms.   Continue reading “Not All Americans Have The Right To Bear Arms”

“They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge on Friday ordered Hillary Clinton to answer questions in writing from a conservative legal advocacy group about her use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state.

U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan issued the order as part of a long-running public records lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch. The judge’s decision is only a partial victory for the group, which had sought to question the Democratic presidential nominee in person and under oath.   Continue reading “Judge orders Clinton to answer questions on email use”
