WEB Notes: They cannot “risk” ISIS using Syrian tanks, but they do not mind funding them and providing them with their own military hardware. The point here is more of Syria’s infrastructure and military hardware was just destroyed. This did not hurt ISIS.

The world is entering a new cyber era — one with no ground rules, and with the potential for traditional espionage to be “turbocharged” by the Internet, President Obama told NPR in an exclusive interview.

“Among the big powers, there has been a traditional understanding of, that everybody is trying to gather intelligence on everybody else,” Obama told Morning Edition‘s Steve Inskeep in a wide-ranging interview on Thursday. “It’s no secret that Russian intelligence officers, or Chinese, or for that matter Israeli or British or other intelligence agencies, their job is to get insight into the workings of other countries that they’re not reading in the newspapers every day.”   Continue reading “Obama: Espionage Is Being ‘Turbocharged’ By The Internet”

A CBD ban appears to have been put in place by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration), an agency of the US Government. Two days ago on their website, they posted a notice that they had made a “new rule,” effective Dec. 14th 2016, to classify “marihuana extract” (their antiquated spelling, not mine) as a Schedule 1 drug. What this means is that CBD (cannabidiol) extracts which have trace amounts of, or absolutely no THC, and are therefore non-psychoactive, are now reclassified to be on par with psychoactive or THC-containing cannabis, heroin, LSD and peyote.   Continue reading “CBD Ban?
