FERGUSON, Mo. —With a controversial curfew lifted, and the National Guard on its way, protests were mostly peaceful Monday in this city that has been wracked by grief and rage over the killing of an unarmed black teenager.

Still, tensions remained high between police, demonstrators and the press. And Bishop Edwin Bass, who was on the scene urging people to remain calm, said that “the crowd shifts substantially about 8 p.m. A lot of the family people, and people here for legitimate protest reasons, leave. The people who are here for mayhem, confusion and chaos come out.”   Continue reading “Curfew dropped in Ferguson; attorney general to visit”

Ferrari 250 GTO BerlinettaYahoo News-by Justin Hyde

When the 19th copy of Enzo Ferrari’s 250 GTO Berlinetta left Maranello in 1962, it was just another race car, one that had a hard life ahead of wrecks and in one instance a driver’s death. Yet today, the GTO was poised to become the most expensive car ever sold, the new high mark in a global demand for classic cars.

Instead, Bonhams’ auctioneer Roberts Brooks brought the hammer down at $34.65 million — and with the 10 percent buyer’s premium, the final price of $38.115 million set a new record for vehicle auctions, but was well short of the record for a private vehicle sale.    Continue reading “1962 Ferrari 250 GTO sells for $38.1 million, beating record but not expectation”

Playing with perception: Lebrigand uses a Canon EOS 60D and a telescope to take the picturesDaily Mail- by CAMILLA CANOCCHI

A French photographer snapped these astonishing pictures of passenger planes appearing as though they are heading to some unusual locations… the sun and the moon.

The shots of a Boeing Dreamliner were captured by Sebastien Lebrigand, 39, from the back garden in his home in Crepy-en-Valois, near Paris.

The images give the illusion that the planes are flying around the sun or about to land on the moon’s surface. Continue reading “Stunning photos capture passenger planes looking as though they are flying to the moon and circling the sun”

The news is full of the “humanitarian crisis” taking place on the U.S. southern border. We hear of the “unaccompanied children” who have been tragically released into the nation without parental oversight. It paints a horrifying picture that has affected compassionate, caring Americans, bringing many to tears and wanting to help. That’s what Americans do. We care. We cry. We rush to help.

What many, blinded by their compassion, are not seeing, is the reality of what this modern day version of Castro’s infamous Muriel Boat Lift will bring to U.S. cites in coming months and years. That’s because only about 20% of those now rushing across the border are actually innocent children. Many more are dangerous felons, members of murderous gangs, and some are even Middle Eastern terrorists avoiding the TSA.  Continue reading “The “Humanitarian Crisis” and the Coming Crime Wave in U.S. Cities”

Bou Bou was asleep in his crib at the time, surrounded by his family and three sisters. The toddler was severely injured when SWAT team officers broke through the house’s door and threw a flashbang grenade that ultimately landed in the Bou Bou’s crib.   Continue reading “County officials refuse to pay medical bills for toddler burned by SWAT grenade”

Law enforcement agencies are turning to the Department of Defense, more and more, for their tactical policing needs, requesting such items as Mine Resistant Ambush Protection (MRAP) vehicles, surplus Humvees, rifles, and other assorted military-grade hardware. While some can be used in special operations, such as protecting officers from active shooters, or gaining entry into heavily fortified buildings, the sheer audacity of one Oklahoma Sheriff goes far beyond this.   Continue reading “County Sheriff Has Audacity to Stencil “Protecting Your Constitutional Rights” on Agency’s MRAP & Humvee”
