Guns Save Lives – by Dan Cannon
Earlier this month we reported that Remington seemingly scrubbed nearly all mention of their new pistol, the R51, from their website. There was speculation this was either a move to pull the plug on the pistol or remove its presence from their only catalog while they made improvements to the design which had taken quite a bit of criticism from the review community. It appears as though it is the latter.
Remington released a statement today saying that they are planning to make some changes to the pistol and start a new production run. Anyone who owns a current R51 will be able to return the pistol and get a new production gun in its place. Fighter bombers attacking civilian targets in Eastern Ukraine, flying with Ukrainian Air Force markings, have been traced to air bases in Romania, Moldova and Azerbaijan, armed and some perhaps piloted by Poles and even Israelis.
Canadian journalist, Geoffrey West, working with online “plane spotting” groups has identified combat aircraft flying “packages” over Ukrainian air space as taking off from NATO and other facilities. Continue reading “Mystery bombing running over Ukraine”
Ticks can spread a number of diseases, including human babesiosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and Lyme disease, which has become one of the most serious and controversial epidemics of our time.

Residents of Boston do not need shotguns or rifles, according to Boston Police Commissioner William Evans.
Boston’s top cop made that statement Wednesday on Boston Public Radio in response to Massachusetts state senator Stan Rosenberg’s position that there are already “sufficient controls” on long guns at the federal level, giving no need for new state laws that grant police additional powers to deny ownership to citizens. Think a banana peel is only good for the trash? Guess again. Have you ever thought about where all those discarded peels end up? Yep, with the rest of the trash at the landfill, where they produce methane gas, a greenhouse gas 21 times more potent than carbon dioxide, as they rot. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, uneaten food accounts for 20% of methane emissions, which are a major contributor to global warming. Here’s a handy infographic with ideas on how you can help protect the peels! Continue reading “10 Things to Do With Banana Peels”
A 25-acre parcel of thick brush and berry vines in San Rafael has become a haven for homeless campers and a target for brush fires ignited by the dispossessed dwellers. In order to clear out the land, a creative solution of using 1,000 goats is being employed at a cost of $1,000 per day.
The owner of the property and real estate tycoon Fred Grange says that the grass and brush grow very high and provide a clandestine temporary living area for many homeless people. “You and I can’t even see the bottom of it. It’s pretty easy to hide. So, unless someone’s out patrolling, you’re not gonna see who’s out there,” added San Rafael Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeff Rowan. WASHINGTON — President Obama will go ahead with a “very significant” executive action on immigration after the summer – a move that may well trigger impeachment proceedings against him, senior Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer told reporters at a Monitor breakfast Friday.
“The president acting on immigration reform will certainly up the likelihood that [Republicans] would contemplate impeachment at some point,” said Mr. Pfeiffer, who has been at the Obama White House since its inception. HOAX confirmed: Michelle Obama ‘GMOs for children’ campaign a parody of modern agricultural politics
The Michelle Obama GMO story that went viral Friday has been confirmed as a hoax, and that means we owe the First Lady an apology for the error in reporting. But there’s an interesting silver lining in all this: the massive public backlash that sprang from the report confirms once and for all just how much the U.S. population is opposed to feeding their children GMOs. The United States exported to Israel a substantial amount of the same types of weapons Israel is using to kill Gazans, a new analysis of US Census Bureau export data reveals.
For example, in 2013, the United States sent Israel at least $196 million in parts for military airplanes and helicopters, a category that includes F-16 fighter jets and Apache helicopters, both of which Israel is currently using to attack Gazan homes, offices and farmland. Between January and May 2014, the United States had already exported $92 million in parts for military airplanes and helicopters. The popular agriculture company Monsanto is partnering with First Lady Michelle Obama to promote nutritional foods for kids. According to reports from the Associated Press, Monsanto will spend $50 million over five years on a campaign to market ‘healthy’ genetically modified food to children. The agrochemical company will also bring its food offerings for kids in line with the new federal standards for labeling and nutrition.
Obama announced her intentions in front of crates of fresh produce on Thursday. “When I see a company like Monsanto launch an initiative like this, I feel more hopeful than ever before,” said the First Lady. “We can improve how we make and sell food in this country.” Continue reading “Michelle Obama teaming up with Monsanto to promote children’s food”
Being a former WAPf chapter leader I realize the value of nutrient dense foods. The work that a farmer puts into raising these healthy foods is truly a labor of love. Many people have a dire need for these foods, mostly for medical reasons. One could almost write a book with all the ‘anecdotal’ evidence you witness as WAPF chapter leader. These consumers sometimes go two hours or more out of their way for these life giving foods. In some areas of the country Co-ops have been organized to get the owners foods closer to home. Sounds great, right? Continue reading “Tyrannical Michigan Ag Agency Forces Co-op to Destroy Nutrient Dense Foods”
