Hillary Clinton says becoming a grandmother might keep her off the campaign trail.
Hillary spoke with Charlie Rose:
I’m about to have my first grandchild, which I’m thrilled about. I can’t wait. I want to see what that feels like. I’m not going to skip over it. I want to really be present, as I meet this … new person in our family.
Three more cases of plague were found in Colorado after a man was reported to have the deadliest form of the disease last week.
The man who got pneumonic plague is hospitalized. He is thought to have contracted the infection from his dog that was likely exposed to plague-infected fleas in eastern Adams County, near Denver. The three additional residents also had direct contact with the dog and had mild symptoms, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in a statement today. They were treated with antibiotics, recovered, and are no longer contagious, the state agency said. Continue reading “Three More Cases of Deadly Plague Found in Colorado”
Police, who say that Eric Garner, 43, was selling untaxed cigarettes, attempted to handcuff him around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday outside 202 Bay Street in Tompkinsville. A disturbing video obtained by the Daily News shows Garner arguing with the police: “I was just minding my own business. Every time you see me you want to mess with me. I’m tired of it. It stops today!” When a number of cops try to subdue him, Garner, who weighed 350 pounds, is seen swatting their hands away and saying, “Don’t touch me, please.” Continue reading “Unclear If Cop Who Put Man In Fatal Chokehold Will Be Criminally Charged”
As a former reporter for the Establishment media (Associated Press) I am particularly sensitive to indications that the media are using their power to subtly change minds and overcome traditional objections to forms of moral depravity. This usually begins with subtle changes and cues that emanate from executive editors at high levels of the corporate media.
Examine the clipping above. It was published in this morning’s (July 17, 2014) Spokesman-Review newspaper (Spokane, Washington), p. A3. The article concerns the arrest of child pornography supporters (“pedophiles”) including “doctors, lawyers” and ex-police officers. The bodies were dead for days before the flight and smelling of rot according to top military commander at the scene, which would be expected if they were actually from flight 370. They would have been loaded on the plane dead to make sure none could speak about what went on. Continue reading “People dead long before flight took off”
The UN has now called for the decriminalization not just of marijuana but of other drugs as well, including so-called injectables. Our analyses are often correct, but in this case, we’re a little surprised at how fast confirmation has arrived.
HRABOVE, Ukraine (AP) — Ukraine accused Russia on Saturday of helping separatist rebels destroy evidence at the crash site of a Malaysia Airlines plane shot down in rebel-held territory — a charge the rebels denied.
To help make the best decisions to protect communities from earthquakes, new USGS maps display how intense ground shaking could be across the nation.
The USGS recently updated their U.S. National Seismic Hazard Maps, which reflect the best and most current understanding of where future earthquakes will occur, how often they will occur, and how hard the ground will likely shake as a result.
Rather than focus on tactics, which vary somewhat depending on terrain and situation (British…thoughts aside.) let us consider the Principles of War as a series promoting nationwide coordination and synchronization.

A Queens doctor accused of overprescribing painkillers to two patients who later suffered fatal overdoses was convicted on Friday of two counts of second-degree manslaughter and dozens of lesser charges.
The guilty verdict against Dr. Stan Xuhui Li came after a four-month trial in State Supreme Court in Manhattan and nearly six days of jury deliberations. Prosecutors had portrayed Dr. Li as reckless in his prescribing of drugs to patients who showed clear signs of addiction. Dr. Li’s lawyer had argued that his client had acted in good faith and that the patients who died overdosed because they failed to follow Dr. Li’s instructions.
