It would seem that Rachel Cohen was not so far off in her article when she suggested that the Japanese would be relocated to the United States.  Tuesday, on FOX Business Lou Dobbs suggested that 150,000 Japanese, whose homes could not be rebuilt because of radiation, be allowed to immigrate to the United States and put in 150,000 homes that previously belonged to 99ers before they were repossessed as a result of the Wall Street meltdown. 

Hell, why not?  The housing market is hurting.  How about this?  The government cashes out the banks for those 150,000 homes, gives them free and clear to the Japanese immigrants and bills it to the taxpayers as a humanitarian stimulus plan?

Barak Obama is indeed a man of the people.  Sometimes you can actually feel his sincerity when he is speaking of the people.  I believe him when he says it is his deepest wish that the people know justice and freedom and that the people have a right to expect a chance at a future, including prosperity.  The only problem is that when Barry is speaking of the people, he always speaking of the people in another country.

But what should we expect from a non-American citizen of the world that detests the American people because they will not embrace his communist ideals.

The U.S. Senate is back in session and the Congress returns today.  I’m sure they are well rested and eager to get back to work at transferring what little wealth the poor and middle class have left into the coffers of the rich.  And what has our champion Barbara Lee been up to?  Well it would seem that she is actually a real go-getter.  She wasn’t just sitting around on Spring Break.  She was doing what a representative is supposed to do and that is speak for the American people.

On March 23, 2011, last Wednesday, Barbara Lee put out two press releases.  The first was a statement acknowledging the passing of Elizabeth Taylor.  The second contained the following: Congresswoman Lee was joined by 121 House colleagues, including 35 Republicans, to send a letter to the United States Postal Service requesting that they issue a commemorative postage stamp to honor the life and legacy of former Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm.

Whether the unemployment legislation passed in Oregon will help a single 99er will not be ascertained until the week of April 17^th as it will not take effect until then.  From what I have read I do not believe the legislation is for 99ers, but rather for those who have not yet reach 99 weeks.

During the duration of time when I was drawing my unemployment in the State of Oregon the state passed several extensions in order to get the unemployed through to the next federal extension.

It seems that every time an article on From the Trenches  gets picked up by a larger site and we see a growth spurt it is immediately followed by an attack.   When I see an IP coming onto the comments section with different names attached, my first thought is Troll, but I have to be careful as there are some people out there who are so paranoid that they think this tactic will somehow protect them from being identified with our site.

The fact is if you come on this site as Curious George and the government wants to know who you are, it is not even an effort for them to find out.  And one might ask his or herself what has this country come to if we have to be afraid to express ourselves freely.  So for the paranoid out there I will explain the following.

After a week’s rest our Congress will be taking a couple more weeks off for Spring Break and truly this is not unreasonable as screwing the American people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week has to be exhausting.  And now the Tea Party is reportedly upset because the Republicrats are not cutting spending enough.

 When the Tea Party first grew up from its grass roots while Bush was in office, I thought it was a good movement that was bound to cause positive change.  And evidently so did the enemies of the 99ers and the middle class.  This is when rich elitists like the Koch brothers stepped up and financed the infiltration and takeover of the Tea Party by the Neo-Cons.

More American auto workers are facing layoffs as General Motors says it is going to shut down its plant in Shreveport, Louisiana next week.  Also Toyota has announced that it might be shutting down several of its plants in the United States, and it is reported that Ford and Chrysler may follow suit.  So what is the problem?  Are the employees making too much money?  Are their retirement packages too generous and their medical benefits too extravagant?

No, that is not it at all.  The fact is it beginning to look, more and more every day, like the United States cannot build an automobile without components imported from Japan.  So there you go there is the proof for all of you out there still denying that our industrial base has been shipped out of this country.

Never does the lie of the false left-right paradigm stand out more clearly than when a president, whether Demopublican or Republicrat, takes an action for the corporate elite which can only be considered detrimental to the country and to the people.  The propagandists from the false left and the false right are now coming out in unison and brotherhood in support of the unconstitutional invasion of Libya.

I heard the most outrageous assertions from both CNN and FOX.  One talking head tried to put forth the idea that the War Powers Act needed to be repealed because it limited presidential prerogatives for going to war.  The fact is that without the War Powers Act the president could not take us into war under any circumstances without the consent of Congress.

Barry the Rat was in El Salvador yesterday touching base with the mafia dons who control that area as we 99ers suffered through another day in hell.  Concerns about the constitutionality of the Libyan invasion were dismissed by the Obama administration, as their spokespeople put forth the assertion that Congressional approval was not needed, as the hit on Gaddafi had already been sanctioned by Big Lou Macaroni, chief enforcer for the Brooklyn branch of the New York mafia. 

Don’t laugh what we see occurring on an international scale today is no different than the open violence displayed on the streets of New York and Chicago just eighty years ago.  The international corporate mafia run cartels do not even resemble governments anymore.  The corporations boldly brought their boards to Washington DC and took over our government.

I’m going to tell you exactly what Barry is doing so that we can all sit back and watch it unfold as our middle class takes another hit.  You see the corporate mafia, USA branch, has a few trillion dollars stashed in overseas accounts which represent profits made by US companies in foreign countries.

Another American military invasion in the Middle East and hey 99ers, money is no object.  This as our so called representatives are taking a week vacation from the daunting task of cutting every social program and refusing an unemployment extension because it is unfunded. 

Why are not these holier than thou crusaders acting on their mandate to the people in coming out in mass opposition to this unfunded, unprovoked, and unjust third invasion of a sovereign country in the Middle East?  I’ll tell you why.  Because this new war is going to put more money into the pockets of those our so called representatives serve.  And that is not we the people.

As radiation from Japan rains down on the west coast of the U.S., American war planes prepare to invade Libya, and millions of 99ers continue to suffer the grossest deprivations, King Soetoro and his wife Michelle Antoinette are basking in the sun of Brazil.  

If you think about it, Obama has become so insignificant as a leader in any sense of the word, that we should be wondering what we are paying him for.  If he completely disappeared and no one could find him the only difference would be that our corporate controllers would not be able to claim to be lording over us with any legitimacy.

Well Obama’s approval ratings are continuing to fall.  So I guess some more American service people had better get ready to die in Libya in order to bring them back up as the UN Security Council has okayed not only a no-fly zone but any military action deemed necessary by any country to protect the insurgents in Libya.  And when it comes to another war in the Middle East what it will cost and how it will be financed is not an issue.

This scenario should show everyone that in the international political agenda human life is not a consideration.  Think about it like this.  If the true goal was nothing more than to get an incompetent president reelected it would be an extremely simple task.

New jobless claims dropped to 385,000 last week as inflation continues to rise.  There are at present 10 million 99ers.  There are over 8.9 million Americans still collecting unemployment benefits at present.  No new jobs are being created in spite of what the propagandists say. 

At this rate there could very well be 19 to 20 million 99ers by the 2012 election and if you want to count all the long term unemployed, I have to believe that that number would come in at right around 30 million.

So far $46 million has been donated by American citizens for relief in Japan.  $1.3 billion was donated for the Haitian disaster and $5.3 billion went to the Gulf Coast after hurricane Katrina, marking a sharp decline in American generosity.  And what is causing that decline?  Well it is a fact that most charitable donations in the United States come from our middle class, as the rich do not care in reference to misery and suffering.  That being the case as our middle class continues the shrink, so does our ability and willingness to help others.

If you think about it, if each billionaire just gave five million dollars to charity, suffering around the world could be, at minimum, reduced to the point that starvation would not be an issue.  But we need to understand that the rich elite, not only applaud starvation, but are working toward a 90% world population reduction.

Well our so called government has sent warships to aid the Japanese and also, through the Suez Canal, to anchor off the coast of Libya.  You see the people in Libya are being oppressed.  They are not being allowed their pursuit of happiness.  Therefore, our politicians are chomping at the bit to rush to their aid.  Wouldn’t it be nice if the 99ers’ lives were thought worthy of salvation by our so called government?

The people in Wisconsin are now taking action to recall Governor Scott and his backers, both Demopublican and Republicrat, in retaliation for their blatant abuses of power in attacking the working people in that state.  The propaganda push has been that the public workers needed to lose their bargaining rights because their pay and pensions had caused a deficit.

There is an article in April’s edition of Reader’s Digest titled, “How the Great Recession Changed Us.”  Talk about a blatant attempt to polish a turd.  According to the U.S. Census there was an 11.7% increase in the number of households containing more than one family between 2008 and 2010.  But this is a good thing because it makes families become closer.  Of course they don’t like each other as much anymore, but they sure as hell are closer.

500,000 people age 35 and older were forced to move back in with their parents, siblings, or other kin in the same time period.  There was an 8% increase in the number of kids who have moved back in with their grandparents from 2009 to 2010, but remember, things are getting better.
