PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police in Philadelphia are investigating a tip that a man charged in the ambush shooting of a patrolman is connected to a radical group that may continue to pose a threat to officers.

This week, Zhou Chengjian, the chairman of the clothing company Metersbonwe became the most recent wealthy Chinese businessperson to go missing. Legendary rock artist David Bowie has died at 69, after an 18-month battle with cancer, his publicist confirmed to SkyNews. The news was also posted on the musician’s official website.
The artist “died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg secretly commissioned a poll last month to see how he might fare as a third-party 2016 candidate, according to a new report published Sunday.
Bloomberg commissioned the poll in December to see how he might perform as an independent in the 2016 race after watching the dazzling rise of Republican front-runner Donald Trump in the GOP race, CNN reported, citing a source familiar with the survey. Dwight and Steven Hammond were tried in Federal Court for arson on Federal Lands. The trial judge at sentencing felt the mandatory 5 year sentence was cruel and unusual and gave them lesser sentences. The Hammond’s served that sentence and went home. The Federal Prosecutor appealed that sentence and won in Appeals Court to re-sentence the Hammond’s to the Mandatory 5 years (with time served). Police investigators in Salt Lake City are taking a second look at a an officer involved shooting dating back to Jan. 8, 2015, because new cellphone video may show that the officer shot the victim in the back while he is on the ground.
Salt Lake City Police Officer Matthew Taylor was cleared last year in the shooting death of 42-year-old James Dudley Barker. According to Taylor, he feared for his life after Barker swung a snow shovel at him resulting in fractures to his arm and a foot. TRINIDAD, Texas – After almost 15 years, what is believed to be the longest armed standoff in American history quietly came to a peaceful close earlier this week.
John Joe Gray was arrested in 1999 for assaulting a state trooper during a traffic stop. Gray said it was his God-given right to carry the pistol he had that day, without a concealed handgun license.
