NEW YORK (AP) — Three large U.S. cities filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against the Department of Defense, arguing that many service members who are disqualified from gun ownership weren’t reported to the national background check system.

New York City, San Francisco and Philadelphia said in court papers that the military’s broken system for relaying such information helped spur the massacre of 26 people inside a Texas church last month.   Continue reading “Cities sue Defense Dept. over gun-check system failures”

Three years ago, several mishaps occurred with vials of viruses that could have been potential bioweapons in the wrong hands. A moratorium on deadly virus creation was installed, but the ban was just reversed on Tuesday allowing scientists to begin manipulating benign pathogens into deadly, epidemic-worthy human disease.

Not only do the scientists want permission to create with abandon, they’d like to keep the results secret – i.e., keep them unpublished so that the work doesn’t get into “the wrong hands” and cause an act of bioterror… Now that the government has lifted the ban, scientists essentially have carte blanche to breed laboratory horrors.   Continue reading “Scientists Get Approval To Create Air Transmissible Ebola And Other Lethal Viruses”

Snakes are in trouble. A strange disease is affecting snakes from all over the world, and scientists aren’t quite sure how to fix it. If they don’t figure it out soon, we could be seeing a global snake pandemic that threatens entire ecosystems.

The illness is called Snake Fungal Disease (SFD), and it’s caused by a fungus called Ophidiomyces ophidiodiicola which causes painful legions on the skin of the snakes it infects. Some snakes can molt to remove the fungus, others aren’t so lucky.   Continue reading “A Mysterious Disease Is Killing Snakes Around the World”

In the West, at least, everyone has become massively aware of the extent of coercion and exploitation in sexual relations.

However, we should bear in mind also the (no less significant) fact that millions of people on a daily basis flirt and play the game of seduction, with the clear aim of finding a partner for making love. The result of the modern Western culture is that both sexes are expected to play an active role in this game.   Continue reading “Sign a contract before sex? TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — The handgun that Shaneen Allen was carrying when she was pulled over on a New Jersey highway could have sent her to prison for years if not for a pardon from Republican Gov. Chris Christie.

Now the legal saga that kept the Pennsylvania mother of two in jail for 48 days has helped inspire a measure that could change handgun laws across the country. “Hopefully I’ll be at the White House next to (President) Trump signing this bill,” said Allen, who has become a face of the Republican effort to break down barriers to carrying concealed firearms between states. “Republicans put their money where their mouth was.”   Continue reading “Pardoned by Christie, woman pushes for change to US gun laws”

It was a symptom of a much larger long-term problem involving government power being exercised without proper limits or accountability.   Continue reading “The Bundy mistrial, the government’s false narrative is exposed”

Alexandria, VA – A 17-year-old boy who was forced to masturbate in front of police officers after he was accused of taking nude photos of himself and sending them to his 15-year-old girlfriend, won a small victory in court, when he argued that by attempting to force him to recreate the photos, the officers were manufacturing child pornography.

The United States Court of Appeals in the Fourth Circuit ruled in favor of Trey Sims, who is now 20. He was originally accused of sending his girlfriend explicit photographs and videos in 2014. Manasseh City Police Detective David Abbott—who is now deceased—investigated the alleged transmission of child pornography. He asked for, received, and executed a search warrant, which ultimately demanded Sims masturbate for Abbott and two other officers.  Continue reading “Child Molesting Cop Brought Teen To Jail, Forced Him to Masturbate as Fellow Cops Filmed It”
