The Daily Signal – by Ron Arnold

It seems incredible, but a single missing word could turn a water law into a government land grab so horrendous even a U.S. Supreme Court justice warned it would “put the property rights of every American entirely at the mercy of Environmental Protection Agency employees.”

The missing word is “navigable.” The Obama administration is proposing a rule titled “Definition of ‘Waters of the United States’ Under the Clean Water Act,” which would strike “navigable” from American water law and redefine any piece of land that is wet at least part of the year, no matter how remote or isolated it may be from truly navigable waters, as “waters of the United States,” or WOTUS.   Continue reading “Proposed Water Rule Could Put ‘Property Rights of Every American Entirely at the Mercy’ of EPA”

Country Star Receives Death Threats After Bagging MASSIVE Trophy… With A BowMad World News – by Sean Brown

We all know them too well — the anti-hunting crowd. They’re loud, vocal, and love to wish death upon those who are actually helping to preserve the environment through controlling animal populations.

Recently, country music star Luke Bryant bagged a massive buck, then posted the picture to Facebook on the Buck Commander page, which features Willie Robertson, Jason Aldean, Bryant, and several other big names. While Bryant received plenty of praise for his beautiful prize, the trolls were out in force to voice their unwanted opinions.   Continue reading “Country Star Receives Death Threats After Bagging MASSIVE Trophy… With A Bow”

Deadly 'Eradicated' Virus Revived, Making It's Way Into The U.S. With Illegal ImmigrationMad World News Daily – by Dom

Along with illegal immigration comes an increase in crime, a loss in jobs, and a hike in taxes, among other hardships. However, many forget the silent killers that criminals crossing the border threaten to spread.

The media has warned citizens of Ebola, Enterovirus D-68, and even Chagas disease being spread by those traveling from foreign countries, but there’s another deadly endemic making its way into the U.S., and you’ve probably heard nothing about it.   Continue reading “Deadly ‘Eradicated’ Virus Revived, Making It’s Way Into The U.S. With Illegal Immigration”

PARIS, November 12 /TASS/. France comes under direct pressure from Washington over its contract with Russia for the construction and delivery of two Mistral helicopter carriers for the Russian Navy, a French politician and entrepreneur, Philippe de Villiers, said on Wednesday.

“Perhaps, what I am going to tell you will be sensational: every day the French ambassador in the United States and the embassy staff receive a call from the US State Department, which urges them to stop the delivery of Mistrals (to Russia – TASS),” Philippe de Villiers said an interview aired by the BFMTV channel.   Continue reading “France comes under US pressure over delivery of Mistral ships to Russia — French official”

Zero Hedge – by Tyler Durden

Spot the banana republic:

  • Nation #1 spends and issues tens of trillions in taxpayer funds and debt, crushing the growth potential of future generations, just to bail out a banking sector full to the brim with criminal “riggers” (as today’s settlements once again prove), where bubble mania was so pervasive not a single bank would have survived absent a global central bank bailout, and where bank executives wouldn’t bend over for anything less than a million.
  • Nation #2 just sentenced two senior officials of a bank that collapsed under (a measly by New Normal standards) $1 billion in debt to 15 years in prison each for embezzlement and fraud.

I think administrators of Pine Creek High School in Colorado must be ‘high’ as they’ve forbidden students from exercising their constitutionally protected religious speech during their own free time in the school day. The school is citing “separation of church and state” as their legal backing for the ban.

And now, after sending a warning letter to the school, the ADF has filed suit in federal court against the school:   Continue reading “Colorado High School FORBIDS students from praying during free time”

Moves by some U.S. states to legalize marijuana are not in line with international drugs conventions, the U.N. anti-narcotics chief said on Wednesday, adding he would discuss the issue in Washington next week.

Residents of Oregon, Alaska, and the U.S. capital voted this month to allow the use of marijuana, boosting the legalization movement as cannabis usage is increasingly recognized by the American mainstream.   Continue reading “U.S. states’ pot legalization not in line with international law: U.N. agency”

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia’s long-range bombers will conduct regular patrol missions from the Arctic Ocean to the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico, the military said Wednesday, a show of muscle reflecting tensions with the West over Ukraine.

A statement from Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu came as NATO’s chief commander accused Moscow of sending new troops and tanks into Ukraine — a claim quickly rejected by Russia.   Continue reading “Russian bomber patrols to reach Gulf of Mexico”

Labourers work on an apartment building under construction in a Jewish settlement known to Israelis as Har Homa and to Palestinians as Jabal Abu Ghneim in an area of the West Bank that Israel captured in a 1967 war and annexed to the city of Jerusalem, October 28, 2014. REUTERS/Ronen ZvulunReuters

Israeli authorities gave initial approval on Wednesday for the construction of 200 new homes in an urban settlement in Jerusalem, a move that could aggravate tensions with Palestinians that Washington is trying to lower.

Violence has flared in the past few weeks over Jerusalem’s most sacred and politically sensitive site, holy to both Jews and Muslims. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was due in Jordan on Wednesday for talks with King Abdullah and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on efforts to calm the situation.   Continue reading “Israeli gives initial approval for 200 new homes in East Jerusalem”

Anti-War – by Justin Raimondo

When Pat Buchanan described the American Congress as “Israeli-occupied territory” in the run up to the first Gulf war, he clearly underestimated the problem. Although Sheldon Adelson and Haim Saban didn’t mean to underscore and enlarge Buchanan’s point, this they surely did at the first national conference of a new pro-Israel lobbying group, the Israeli-American Council (IAC), where the two multi-billionaires appeared together on stage. It was an enlightening colloquy.   Continue reading “Oligarchs for Israel”

FORT WORTH (CN) – The federal ban on sale of handguns outside of a person’s state of residence does not violate the Second Amendment, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said in a legal brief.

Federally licensed firearms dealer Frederic Russell Mance Jr. of Texas, and gun buyers Tracey and Andrew Hanson of Washington, D.C., sued Holder and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Director B. Todd Jones in Federal Court in July.   Continue reading “Holder Backs Interstate Gun Sale Ban”

ABC News – by SEAN CARLIN and MARC LEVY, AP

Pennsylvania’s two largest cities sued the state on Monday over a new law that was designed to let the National Rifle Association challenge local firearms ordinances in court.

The lawsuit is the latest fight between Pennsylvania cities trying to curb gun violence and a legislature that has resisted new forms of gun control in a state rich with hunting tradition.

The lawsuit, filed by Philadelphia and Pittsburgh in Commonwealth Court, argues that lawmakers approved the measure in violation of state constitutional provisions designed to promote transparency in the legislative process.   Continue reading “Pennsylvania Cities Sue Over Law on Firearm Rules”
