While I struggled to watch the nearly three minute video I’m providing below, due to the guest on the show, perhaps there is an irony to this tale. Michelle Obama appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and told him that young people really needed Obamacare because they are “knuckleheads.” Continue reading “Michelle Obama: Young People are “Knuckleheads” – That’s Why They Need Obamacare”
People of Turkey taking the streets against new Internet Censorship law. Protests against an increase in internet censorship in Turkey took to the streets again tonight in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.
This new Censorship Law will allow Turkey’s telecommunications authority to block websites and censor any internet content without a prior court decision. Continue reading “Turkish Citizens Say No to Internet Censorship, Take the Streets in Protest”

Today, a bipartisan letter to President Obama was sent by Congressman Earl Blumenauer (OR-03) along with 17 other members of Congress, asking him to tell Attorney General Eric Holder to reschedule marijuana from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act to Schedule II, meaning marijuana possession wouldn’t be as much of a crime as heroin, and would be punished the same as if someone had the prescription drug Oxycodone if carried illegally, such as not having a prescription. A man was jailed after failing to pay his child support.
During sentencing, Judge Abednico Ndebele said that being unemployed is not an excuse for not taking care of children.
Unemployed men were surprised when Ndebele said that they should stop having sex, as it could lead to pregnancy and not paying child support. Continue reading “Zimbabwe: Judge orders unemployed men to stop having sex as they cannot pay child support”

The first time I’d heard the term “hemostatic” was early in my Marine Corps career. It was at a traumatic first aid course with our company Corpmen teaching us things that would later save lives less than a year later in Afghanistan. The word hemostatic comes from two words. The first is “statikos,” also known as static, which means to stop. “Hemo” comes from the word “hemorrhage” so combined they mean essentially to stop bleeding. Most of the U.S. military is illegal, according to the Constitution. This monograph will give you a few basics and point to additional resources. Every assertion herein is true. If you’re active-duty or a veteran, it will make you furious — and then challenge you NOT to hang your head in shame, but to be a leader right here at home, rather than a hired killer abroad.
I hope to shock you awake and test your allegiance to the Constitution. Christ said that no man can serve two masters; if you’re a former or current military employee or family you need to choose allegiance…the Constitution, or your industry? Every American should support our troops — but ‘our troops’ means two mutually exclusive things: Continue reading “Constitutionally Defined Troops & How We Should Support Them”
Retired Pakistani General Hamid Gul says the United States and its allies are seeking to destroy Pakistan by fueling insecurity in the country.

The CEO of ExxonMobil – the top producer of natural gas in the US – has joined a lawsuit that challenges the construction of a water tower connected to hydraulic fracturing operations near his Texas home, given that it may reduce the property value.
CEO Rex Tillerson and other plaintiffs claim the hydraulic fracturing – or fracking – project will cause unwanted noise and traffic associated with trucking water from the 160-foot tower to the drilling site, The Wall Street Journal reported. Continue reading “Exxon CEO: Don’t frack in my backyard”

CULIACAN, Mexico (AP) — For 13 years Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman watched from western Mexico’s rugged mountains as authorities captured or killed the leaders of every group challenging his Sinaloa cartel’s spot at the top of global drug trafficking.
Unscathed and his legend growing, the stocky son of a peasant farmer grabbed a slot on the Forbes’ billionaires’ list and a folkloric status as the capo who grew too powerful to catch. Then, late last year, authorities started closing on the inner circle of the world’s most-wanted drug lord. Continue reading “Noose closed on Mexican drug lord as allies fell”

New Jersey police allegedly hid dashcam video from prosecutors showing they beat an innocent man on the side of the road and made up a host of false charges to try to get him imprisoned. After the video was retrieved through an open records request, all charges were dropped and the police were instead charged with falsifying evidence and assault.
The shocking video shows out of control cops cross the median line of a road driving against traffic to crash into 30-year-old Marcus Jeter’s vehicle after he had already pulled over on the side of the road, then police swarm his car with guns drawn, break his windows, punch him in the face while he’s holding his hands up in surrender, then pull him out of his car and viciously beat him while screaming “stop resisting” and demanding he “stop going for their guns.” Continue reading “NJ Cops Indicted After Video They Hid Reveals They Beat Innocent Man & Filed False Charges”

The forced Parliamentary impeachment of Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych just cancelled out President Barack Obama’s puny pen and telephone.
Russian President Vladimir Putin was Yankovych’s pen and telephone, but with the entire world watching, the prime minister, who only three months ago made a deal in favor of the Russians over the European Union, has hightailed it for safer ground by abandoning the battle field. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro told a CNN reporting team Friday that it could continue reporting in the South American country, a day after the government revoked or denied press credentials for CNN journalists.
Earlier, Maduro had said he would expel CNN if it did not “rectify” its coverage of anti-government protests. During a news conference aired live on state-run TV, Maduro reversed his early position, saying CNN could stay. Continue reading “Venezuela says CNN can stay, a day after saying ‘get out’”
