FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 13, 2017) – A so-called  “Constitutional Carry” bill prefiled in the Kentucky House of Representatives would make it legal for most Kentuckians to carry a firearm without a license, and foster an environment hostile to federal gun control.

Rep.  C. Wesley Morgan (R-Richmond) pre-filed BR172 in August. The legislation would allow persons 21 or older, and not otherwise prohibited by other laws, to carry concealed weapons without a license. Individuals would be allowed to carry concealed without a permit anyplace license holders can currently carry. Kentucky law stipulates a number of places where it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon including hospitals, police stations, courthouses, government meetings and areas primarily dedicated to selling alcoholic beverages for consumption. These restrictions would remain in place under the proposed law.   Continue reading “Permission Not Required: “Constitutional Carry” Bill Introduced in Kentucky House”

A new pill that tells your doctor whether you’re swallowing it or not has just been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

The pill – a new version of Abilify by Otsuka Pharmaceutical – will have a digestible sensor in it that will let a patch worn by the patient know when the pill is going down the hatch. The patch will then relay the message to the patient’s mobile app, and, like a game of telephone, the mobile app will send the info over to the doctor. (Of course the mobile app will have already been given permission by the patient to send this personal information to the doctor.)   Continue reading “FDA approves a pill that tells your doctor whether you’ve swallowed it or not”

Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd sent a letter to the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Monday, indicating that career prosecutors at the Department of Justice would review controversies arising from the Clinton Foundation and former FBI Director James Comey’s handling of the Clinton email investigation.

The letter prompted speculation that DOJ was assembling a predicate for a criminal investigation and the appointment of a special counsel. President Donald Trump himself has publicly encouraged the attorney general to pursue a criminal probe of matters relating to the Clinton Foundation, amplifying speculation that his longtime ally would acquiesce to the pressure in a bid to revive his strained relationship with the president.  Continue reading “There Probably Isn’t A Special Counsel Coming For Hillary, Comey Or Uranium One”
