A 26-year-old man was arrested Monday for jumping on a moving Amtrak train in California while he was under the influence. He is also accused of trying to manipulate train controls and activating the train whistle more than once.

Dylan Thomas Baldini, from McCloud, Calif., was taken into custody early Monday, according to a release sent to Yahoo Lifestyle by Sheriff Jon E. Lopey of the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), where deputies responded to a radio call. They were joined by officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and Mt. Shasta Police Department (MSPD).   Continue reading “Intoxicated man arrested for jumping aboard moving Amtrak train and taking over controls”

Human Events – by Phyllis Schlafly, Aug 23, 2005

Hypocrisy stands at the pinnacle of the sins that liberals most disdain. So it’s fair game to compare the free ride they gave to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with their searching the archives to pillory every word ever written by Supreme Court nominee John Roberts.

Liberal commentators and U.S. senators, who are salivating at the upcoming interrogation of Roberts, never asked Ginsburg about her extremist views spelled out in her lengthy paper trail. The senators didn’t have to do much research; I made it easy for them by publishing her words in my July 1993 Phyllis Schlafly Report.   Continue reading “Flashback: Senators Overlooked Radical Record of Ruth Bader Ginsburg”

Hard as it is to believe, airline travel recently became even more unpleasant. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees being required to work without pay for the duration of the government shutdown resulted in many TSA workers calling in sick. The outbreak of “shutdown flu” among TSA employees forced some large airports to restrict the number of places mandatory TSA screenings were performed, making going through screening even more time-consuming and providing one more reason to shut down the TSA.   Continue reading “Shut Down the TSA!”

We often hear members of law enforcement state the dangers of marijuana to ridiculous levels. But the Attorney General of South Carolina has perhaps said the most ridiculous statement yet.

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson referred to marijuana as “the most dangerous drug” in America. Wilson’s comments were part of a press conference where several other politicians, law enforcement officials and doctors spoke out against a proposed bill that would legalize medical marijuana in South Carolina.   Continue reading “South Carolina Attorney General Calls Marijuana the ‘Most Dangerous Drug’ in America”

The days of having a fully (or even mostly) private life are long gone, it seems, and social media is largely to blame.

Even if you have deactivated all of your social media accounts – or never had any in the first place – your privacy is not guaranteed.   Continue reading “Here’s How YOU Can Be Profiled Even If You’ve NEVER Used Social Media”

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled that Jerry Sandusky be re-sentenced on the basis that in 2012 the judge improperly imposed mandatory minimum terms that sent the former Penn State football coach away for 30-60 years.

In the same ruling, the court rejected Sandusky’s appeal for a new trial. Sandusky, now 75, was convicted by a Centre County Jury of 45 counts of sexual molestation and remains imprisoned in Western Pennsylvania.   Continue reading “Sandusky needs to be resentenced, court says”

Patriot Rising – by Michael Snyder

The U.S. national debt is wildly out of control, and nobody in Washington seems to care.  According to the U.S. Treasury, the federal government is currently $21,933,491,166,604.77 in debt.

In just a few days, that figure will cross the 22 trillion dollar mark.  Over the last 10 years, we have added more than 11 trillion dollars to the national debt, and that means that it has been growing at a pace of more than a trillion dollars a year.  To call this a major national crisis would be a massive understatement, and yet there is absolutely no urgency in Washington address this absolutely critical issue.  We are literally destroying the financial future of this nation, but most Americans don’t seem to understand the gravity of the situation that we are facing.   Continue reading “The Most Depressing Stat Of The Month: The U.S. National Debt Is About To Pass The $22 Trillion Mark”

Pennsylvanians have been discriminated against BIG time insofar as they have been denied and deprived of their Constitutional rights regarding self-determination; protection of life and property; and oppressive invasion of privacy since the PA Public Utility Commission rewrote, via over-reach, HB2200, which became Act 129 (2008), making toxic RF emissions AMI Smart Meters mandatory on electric, natural gas and municipal water utilities.   Continue reading “The Perennial Pennsylvania Smart Meter Opt-Out Bills Pilgrimage: Will The 2019-20 Batch Be Wasted Away Like Previous Ones Were For 6-8 Years Now That Chairman Godshall Is No Longer At The Consumer Affairs Committee Helm?”

Hundreds of Northern California wildfire victims desperate for housing and living in recreational vehicles on their burned-out lots were ordered off their properties Monday after federal authorities threatened to cut off funding for the state’s biggest natural disaster cleanup.

The Paradise Town Council unanimously rescinded a two-month-old law allowing residents to live in temporary shelters on their burned-out properties before the lots are cleared and certified safe for habitation. The unanimous vote Monday occurred after an emotional and tense meeting that was the first in Paradise city hall since the Nov. 8 fire destroyed most of the city of 27,000 people.   Continue reading “Camp Fire victims living in RVs ordered to leave properties”
