Call it the ghost of the polar vortex, the polar vortex sequel, or the polar vortex’s revenge. Meteorological purists may tell you it’s not a polar vortex at all. However you choose to refer to the looming weather pattern, unseasonably chilly air is headed for parts of the northern and northeastern U.S at the height of summer early next week.

Bearing a haunting resemblance to January’s brutally cold weather pattern, a deep pool of cool air from the Gulf of Alaska will plunge into the Great Lakes early next week and then ooze towards the East Coast.   Continue reading “Poor man’s polar vortex to make shocking summer return in eastern U.S. next week”

President Obama told reporters in Dallas, Texas Wednesday night that he skipped a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border because he already knows what’s going on there — and because he’s “not interested in photo ops.”

“This isn’t theater. This is a problem. I’m not interested in photo ops. I’m interested in solving a problem,” said the man whose most recent photo-op took place in a Denver bar less than 24 hours earlier.   Continue reading “Obama: ‘This Isn’t Theater…I’m Not Interested in Photo Ops’”

Freedom’s Lighthouse – by Brian

What a total embarrassment for CNN. But, then, they have no shame.

This CNN Anchor (I think she’s Kate Bolduan) absolutely goes to the mat for Barack Obama in her interview with Texas Gov. Rick Perry. She might as well be Valerie Jarrett. Not an ounce of objectivity. Not one word that even makes sense when it comes to the Border Crisis. It’s like she thinks Perry is from Mars because he says you must secure the border or the problem cannot be solved!   Continue reading “CNN Anchor goes to the Mat for Obama in Interview with Texas Gov. WASHINGTON – An attorney for the family of Miriam Carey, 34, the Connecticut woman shot and killed by Secret Service and Capitol Police after she apparently made a wrong turn into a White House checkpoint and then tried to flee, says the idea that the officers will not face criminal charges is not surprising.

Nor does it change the family’s legal position in their wrongful death claim, Eric Sanders, who is based in New York, told WND on Thursday.   Continue reading “No charges for D.C. cops in mom’s killing”

Infowars – by Paul Joseph Watson

Second amendment activists are expressing concern that authorities in New York state have begun moving towards mass gun confiscation after a man had all his firearms seized by police over a 15-year-old misdemeanor charge.

In a post on the nyfirearms.com forum entitled, “NY State Police Just Came to My Home and Took Everything,” a Nassau County man describes how he received a visit from State Police who wanted to inspect the serial number of a semi-automatic rifle he had just purchased.   Continue reading “Gun Confiscation Begins in New York?”

Alt-Market – by Brandon Smith, March 19, 2013

Years ago while writing for Neithercorp Press I penned an article entitled “One Day Soon, We’ll All Be Homegrown Terrorists”.  In that piece I described a not so far off future in which martial law, economic collapse, and the destruction of civil liberties stood imminent.  I related my views on the propaganda rhetoric of the SPLC, and how they were using false association to tie liberty groups to any deviant organization they could think of, including racists and domestic terrorists, in order to condition the American public to react to our message with immediate contempt.     Continue reading “The Real Reasons Why The Liberty Movement Is Preparing To Fight”

For many, spiders are the stuff of nightmares: creepy, crawly, sinister creatures that sneak into homes and lurk about in the night. The fear of spiders is called arachnophobia, and it is one of the top ten phobias experienced around the world.

In reality, most spiders do not pose a threat to humans. While the majority of the 20,000 species found in the United States ARE venomous, most spiders only bite in self-defense and cannot penetrate human skin. Even then, most spiders aren’t capable of injecting enough venom to warrant medical intervention and of those that can, fatal cases are rare.   Continue reading “Identifying and Treating Spider Bites”

Big Brother – With a Badge

In the early morning hours of last Sept. 25, a stocky young man bolted the Bora Bora Lounge in Highbridge, the Bronx, with a gun in his hand and squeezed off seven shots.

His target fell dead on the street as the shooter fled into the darkness, leaving little behind for police save a nearly useless description: “Unknown male Hispanic in 20s.”

War in Context – by Paul Woodward

For several decades, thousands of Americans — some of them religious extremists, some ethnic supremacists and most believing that they have God on their side — have been traveling to the Middle East to fight in a foreign army notorious for committing war crimes and abusing human rights.

Americans are free to join the Israel Defense Forces so long as Israel does not declare war on the United States. There is no law that stands in the way of this kind of foreign military enrollment, even though some radicalized Americans who have followed this path went on to become terrorists.    Continue reading “Holder pushes for witch-hunt against potential terrorists”

SPRING, Texas – The suspect in a mass shooting that left six people dead, including four children, ended a 3-hour long standoff Wednesday night by surrendering to authorities.

The incident happened at a home in the 700 block of Leaflet in the Enchanted Oaks subdivision.
