En el hospital. “No me había mordido nunca, lo tenía de cachorro”, dijo ayer Muñoz.The Modern Survivalist

There’s no dangerous dogs any more than there’s dangerous guns, it all depends on the human handling either one.

Emilio Muñoz lives in Huiliches, a lightly populated district in the province of Neuquen, Argentina. Because of the crime problem that affects the entire country, Muñoz bought two Rottweilers as a guard dogs. Mister Muñoz suffered seven robbery attempts in four and a half years. His male Rottweiler called Otto did the job it was supposed to, defending the house, even killing two robbers during break in attempts, one in 2011 and another one in 2012.   Continue reading “Guard Dog Rips Off Owner’s Arm”

Black Friday is also one of the biggest days of the year for gun sales. That puts pressure on the system for background checks.

Researchers with the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, which is overseen by the FBI, have until the end of the third business day following an attempted firearm purchase to determine whether a buyer is eligible. After that, buyers have the right to get their guns even if the check wasn’t completed.   Continue reading “Sales Bang: Black Friday Biggest Day for Gun Sales”

Sacramento Bee: When the new Legislature is sworn in on Monday, Sen. Ricardo Lara says he plans to introduce legislation that would create an Office of New Americans to help undocumented immigrants illegal aliens by connecting them to legal services, English classes and help applying for relief under the executive actions announced last week by President Barack Obama.

Obama’s plan is expected to affect at least 1.5 million undocumented immigrants illegal aliens in California, and many have questions about how to file paperwork to be considered for relief, said a statement from Lara, a Bell Gardens Democrat who chairs the Legislature’s Latino Caucus.   Continue reading “California lawmaker proposes office to aid immigrants seeking relief under Obama plan”

Farriers are some of the most fiercely independent, hard working, self governing people on the planet.

Trying to get them to agree on just about anything is akin to herding cats.

To say the fruits of their labor comes from the sweat of their brow is an understatement because there also comes a lot of tears and some blood, inevitably, pushing themselves to master their trade.   Continue reading “People Are People”

Washington (AFP) – The Missouri police officer who killed an unarmed black teen sparking months of protests in the city of Ferguson will never return to policing, his lawyer said.

Darren Wilson is currently in discussions with the Ferguson, Missouri police department on the terms and conditions of his departure, attorney Neil Bruntrager said this week.

“There’s no way in the world he can go back to being a police officer,” the lawyer said.   Continue reading “Cop at center of Ferguson case to leave force”

half christmasFirst off, what is a holiday? A holiday is a day of rest. It is a time to observe something special or even spiritual. A time to be with your family and share quality time with those you love and care about. A time to stop and reflect on life and be thankful for what you have and who you can share it with. A time to even celebrate something of historical significance in your country.

So it’s no mistake that the elites want to take all of that away and erase any remnants of it.

What are holidays today? Nothing more than Fascist corporations creating propaganda and ridiculous marketing ploys, while making people work under slave labor conditions, in order to increase their corporate profits. In doing so, they have the customers who are barely able to pay their bills, spend money on things they don’t need and argue and fight with the slave labor workers if they can’t get what they want, instead of with the CEOs who created the situational problem in the first place.   Continue reading “What is a “Holihalfaday”?”

It’s not just our nation’s legislators that enjoy a “revolving door” — one that moves them from Congress to the private sector and back again, to the mutual benefit of legislators and certain industries… not so much the rest of America.

There’s another revolving door out there — one that keeps bad cops employed in the law enforcement sector. It’s incredibly difficult for police departments to shed their “bad apples,” what with police unions pushing back hard on the few occasions that the blue line fails to hold. But even if they do manage to cut one loose, there’s a good chance this former officer will just end up carrying a badge and gun for someone else.    Continue reading “The OTHER Government Revolving Door: Sheriff’s Departments, State Troopers Provide New Homes For Bad Cops”

All three of their babies have been taken away from them and placed in the care of strangers. Levi was 10 months old when his mother, local singer and songwriter Erica May Rengo, gave birth to his twin brother and sister, at their home in Bellingham, Washington.

“Our birth was glorious,” she said, and the twins were reportedly healthy, full-term babies, who had no problem quickly figuring out how to breastfeed. The little family was overjoyed until CPS stepped in to “help.”     Continue reading “Breastfed, Homebirthed Babies Taken Away From Parents For Not Using Hospital”

Two New York boys are recovering after they were inadvertently trapped for about eight hours in a snowbank when a plow operator pushed snow over them, not realizing they were there.

DALLAS, Tx. (INTELLIHUB.COM) — Three gun rights advocates with a group known as “Come and Take It Texas” open carried their rifles publicly Wednesday night along side of Ferguson solidarity protestors to ensure that a safe and non-violent demonstration wouldn’t turn into a looting free-for-all as seen in other cities across America after the recent St. Louis grand jury’s announcement not to indict Ferguson officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

Police followed demonstrators, about 30, closely while they exercised their First Amendment rights to peacefully assemble in the downtown area, never leaving the sidewalks on Lamar St. on their 2-mile walk.   Continue reading “Peaceful Protest Successful Despite Instigation of “Race War””
