A new article by Forbes reports that the CEO of Crowdstrike, the extremely shady cybersecurity corporation which was foundational in the construction of the official CIA/CNN Russian hacking narrative, is now a billionaire.
George Kurtz ascended to the billionaire rankings on the back of soaring stocks immediately after the company went public, carried no doubt on the winds of the international fame it gained from its central protagonistic role in the most well-known hacking news story of all time. “The perfect storm” has become a cliché, but the current setup for a 2019 recession just became so text-book perfect in alignment of the three most critical recessionary forces that I have to use it.
Let me start by noting that a stock market that rallies because the news is bad — as happened a little over a week ago when we got a terrible new jobs number (only 75,000, less than half of the weak number economists expected and lower than what it takes just to keep up with population growth) — is a market that is locked in dependence on recovery-mode life support where everyone is happy just because the ambulance will soon be on its way … again. According to Argentine newspaper Clarín, the power cut occurred shortly after 07:00 (12:00 GMT), causing massive power outages in Argentina and Uruguay and some regions of Paraguay, Chile, and Brazil. The blackout has abruptly interrupted the railway and the subway services, also creating numerous problems on roads due to a traffic lights shutdown.
“A massive failure in the electrical interconnection system left all of Argentina and Uruguay without power”, electricity supplier company Edesur said in a tweet, commenting on the problem. Continue reading “Massive Power Failure Leaves 50 Mln People in Latin America Without Electricity”
Corporations motivated by insatiable greed endanger us all and must be stopped before it’s too late, veteran journalist Chris Hedges told RT, warning that future generations will suffer immeasurably unless action is taken now.
Appearing on George Galloway’s political talk show ‘Sputnik’, Hedges decried how the “psychopaths” who run the world’s largest multinational corporations are “hurling us all over a cliff” in the pursuit of “short-term profit.” Continue reading “Chris Hedges: No future for our grandchildren unless we ‘overthrow corporate power’”
