Demopublicans and Republicrats became as one to pass the tax cuts extensions for the top 2% at the eleventh hour.  They had played the game as long as they possibly could, though they have saved enough time to push through the legislation that is truly important to their commie arses, and that is, “Don’t ask, don’t tell.”  They should all make it home in time to open their elaborate Christmas presents from the filthy rich.

Could a Tier 5 realistically be passed at this late date?  The answer is yes.  The House at present has the Bush tax cuts extension legislation at a standstill.  There is talk among the Democrats of making alterations to the legislation and sending it back to the Senate.  The changes they are considering are to the estate tax.  They want to lower the rate exempt and increase the rate on that which is not exempt.

But what if on top of that change they also add a Tier 5 unemployment extension for six months.  When the legislation went back to the Senate it would have to be voted on and those votes would be recorded.  There is no doubt that a proposed Tier 5 extension being added would be all over the mainstream news.  And every voting 99er would be watching.  If the Senate dared vote the legislation down, the 99ers would make sure that those responsible would not be reelected to office in 2012.

WikiLeak’s founder, Julian Assange, was released from custody in London as the court rejected Swedish appeals that asserted their case for keeping Mr. Assange jailed.  Assange appeared exhausted as he faced the press.  He thanked all those around the world who are supporting WikiLeaks and himself both financially and vocally.

I have to wonder about the conditions in the London facility where Mr. Assange was held as he including the following in his statement.  “I had time to reflect on the conditions of those people around the world, also in solitary confinement, also on remand, in conditions that are more difficult than those faced by me.  Those people also need your attention and support.”

A demonstration by a collection of unions turned into full scale rioting Wednesday in Athens, Greece, marking the seventh such incident to take place there this year.  Rioters threw paving stones and Molotov cocktails at police.  A former Greek Minister, Kostis Hatzidakis, was beaten about the head and shoulders.  He escaped the rioters with the help of his body guards but was left bloodied.

The unions are protesting new labor laws which they say will give employers powers over them not seen since the Middle Ages.  They further state that the new laws are directly connected to a 110 billion Euro international bail-out package which their government accepted in their name.  Continue reading “Renewed Rioting in Greece”

Millions of Americans are busy completing their Christmas shopping.  We 99ers are not among them.  This will be the first year that I will not be able to afford to buy a single present for my children and grandchildren.  Am I disheartened?  No I am not, I’m mad as hell.

There is $8 billion in pork barrel spending contained in the budget legislation which I assure you will be passed by the lame duck congress.  Some of the items that are more important than American citizens starving to death in the cold are studying peanuts in Georgia, studying arthropod damage in Nevada, an $8 million Institute for the U.S. Senate in the name of Edward M. Kennedy, and roundabouts in Mississippi.

Stuart Varney of Fox Business News expounded his British tenacity to new heights yesterday when he stated that the extension of the Bush era tax cuts are “A done deal” and “I told you the Democrats would not commit political suicide in trying to stop them.”

Who the hell does this Tory think he is?  The fact is at the time Varney was making these statements the tax cuts legislation had not even made it through the Senate, let alone the House.  This multi-million dollar propagandist thinks he can manipulate our Congress by pretending to be a news man and reporting hypotheticals as facts.

WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, appeared in a London court where he was granted bail in the amount of $315,000.  However the Swedish government convinced the court to put a hold on Mr. Assange for two days until an appeal to the bail could be filed and ruled upon.  Supporters of Mr. Assange have arranged for the bail and living accommodations on a 600 acre estate owned by his close personal friend, Vaughan Smith, a wealthy British man.  The court also ordered that Assange surrender his passport, wear a tracking device, and report in to authorities daily.

Swedish authorities describe Mr. Assange as the ultimate flight risk which seems bizarre to anyone following the case, as Mr. Assange offered to be interviewed by authorities in Sweden back in August, and he did turn himself to Scotland Yard to face the charges.

Upscale homes in Cape Cod, Massachusetts are being targeted by arsonist(s) who it is speculated may be waging an anarchist type war against the rich.  There is also the possibility that the arson is being perpetrated for other reasons and the signatures left by the arsonist(s) are designed to throw authorities off their trail.  The arsonist(s) reportedly spray painted “F*@% the Rich” on the side of one of the houses that was attacked.

North Korea threatens nuclear war as South Korea begins military exercises.  South Korea began five days of live fire drills yesterday and North Korea warns that naval exercises that are being run simultaneously by the South could trigger nuclear war.  North Korea enjoys the military backing of China while tens of thousands of American troops guard the demilitarized zone for the South.  Dennis Blair, the former director of National Intelligence, is predicting that there will be a “hot war.”  So what does this mean for the United States?

Alexandra Jarrin, a 53 year old 99er from Vermont has started a letter writing campaign directed at Senator Bernie Sanders of her state.  Apparently she wants 99ers to send letters to her depicting their deplorable plight, after which she prints them and delivers them to Bernie Sanders’ office.

Wow, what an idea.  Why couldn’t I have thought of that?  I mean, all we really have to do is print all those letters that we have been sending to their emails and bam, they are going to say, “This is real.  We have to help them.  They took the time to actually print the letters and deliver them to our office.”

Former Alaskan Governor, Sarah Palin, was in Haiti on a humanitarian mission for the weekend.  She traveled to Haiti with the Reverend Franklin Graham, son of Reverend Billy Graham.  Haiti is still recovering from a devastating earthquake which occurred some eleven months back.  This coupled with the recent cholera outbreak has left the country in a deplorable state.  There are more than one million people homeless and the streets are filled with violence following the presidential election which was held two weeks ago.  Many Haitians believe the election was wrought with fraud.

Sarah Palin banned all media except for Fox News from attending any of the events that she would be a part of.  Sarah’s getting smarter.  She held a news conference wherein she refused to take questions because she said she does not want to get political.  Come on Sarah, you got political when you got on the plane headed for Haiti.

Over the last 30 years a very disturbing change has occurred in the way the average American views their rights. It has become more and more common for people to be willing to vote away their neighbor’s rights, as long as the aforementioned vote does not affect them personally.

Non smokers watch an anti-smoking add on their television and feel perfectly justified in their voting to incorporate or raise a tax on tobacco. I myself do not smoke, and never have smoked cigarettes, but I would never be self-centered enough to try to enact a law that singles out a certain portion of the population to pay more than their share.

Seven civilian road construction workers were killed in Afghanistan Saturday and the mainstream media seems to be doing everything in their considerable power to belittle and cover the incident up.  In reading various reports one can only become confused which would seem to be the intent.

Apparently there is a new jobs plan out there which would extend unemployment benefits through a low interest loan.  This is one of the more logical and constitutional remedies I have heard.  The only problem is if the loan was distributed in weekly checks I doubt it would help the average 99er become employed.

In third world countries banks are giving micro loans to entrepreneurs to start small businesses.  And the program is working.  Of the course the people of third world countries do not have the barrier of a credit score to make them ineligible for any kind of loan.

Senator Bernie Sanders, an Independent Senator from Vermont, staged a filibuster in the House of Representatives yesterday.  Actually it was not a real filibuster but a show put on for the media.  I took the time to listen to some of Mr. Sanders’ rantings.  I heard a lot about the inequality represented by extending the tax cuts for the top 2% of earners in America.  He also read letters from back home from working poor people who were slowly seeing their worlds collapse.  What I did not hear him mention was the deplorable state the 99ers find themselves in.

Officials in London, England are vowing to find those responsible for attacking a Rolls Royce containing Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla.  The attackers were a part of the protest against tuition hikes.  The protesters kicked the car and broke a window with a stick that is said to have hit Camilla in the ribs.  The car was also hit with paint.

Apparently the Prince and his wife were headed to the theater and decided to take a detour through the rioting students.  They were met with the attack and shouts of “Scum” and “Off with their heads.”  One photograph that was published showed Camilla in the back of the Rolls Royce with a terrified look on her face, possibly uttering the phrase, “Oh no, the peasants are rebelling.”

The National Anthem of this country refers to our nation as “The land of the free and the home of the brave,” and when this country was first founded it truly was a free country inhabited by brave individuals who won their freedom by risking their lives, fighting a war against England. Knowing this, it is really hard to imagine how so many people in this country are now willing to give up those same freedoms in order to feel a little safer. When did it become acceptable in this country to be a coward?

Well the million dollar Fox News propagandists were front and center in jumping to the defense of their number one advocate, Barack Obama AKA Barry Soetoro.  This little scenario should go a long way in proving the reality of the false left-right paradigm.  When the rubber meets the road and the international corporate mafia’s money is on the line, the two party system ceases to exist.

The Republicrats, on the other hand, who swore they were going to stop the pork barrel spending, are now pushing for $144 billion in earmarks.  Let’s see, that is four, almost five tiers of unemployment extensions, but hey, who’s counting?

Supporters of WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, continued their cyber attacks today.  Those orchestrating the attacks have dubbed the actions, “Operation Payback”, which some in the mainstream media are calling “Information Anarchy.”

Julian Assange is a world socialist who is associated with various socialist groups.  Some are even trying to affiliate him with a conspiracy to enact new cyber security powers designed to take total control over the internet.

The 99ers have disappeared from the radar screen again.  It is indeed funny how we can exist one moment and not the next.  I think our mention in the mainstream news should be considered a proper gage as to how under control they believe they have us.  When we start beating the war drums we appear on every station.  The problem is once they’ve mentioned us we shut up, sit back, and start waiting for results.  I’m afraid that’s not how it works.

All 99ers need to realize that we are under a constant pressure that is pushing us down.  When we push ourselves up the smallest fraction, we are then relaxing and allowing ourselves to be pushed down even further.  Hell, I’ve been hearing talk of relieving us of our right to vote.  If this were to happen, we would truly be disenfranchised and dispossessed.
