LAS VEGAS — A federal jury got a first look Tuesday at videos of confrontations involving armed federal agents and Bundy family members that rancher Cliven Bundy’s lawyer said provided a catalyst for an April 2014 gunpoint standoff and a trial now underway in Las Vegas.

One clip that attorney Bret Whipple said spread widely on the Internet showed Bundy’s sister, Margaret Huston, thrown to the ground by a federal agent after she approached the driver’s side of a vehicle involved in a U.S. Bureau of Land Management cattle round-up near the Bundy ranch.   Continue reading “‘Videos don’t lie’: Defense opens Bundy Ranch trial with clips of scuffles with agents”

That’s rich! Republicans suddenly believe that one percenters are barely struggling to be in the middle class, party officials revealed.

On Thursday, House Republicans issued a fact sheet about their new tax cut plan that referred to Americans earning $450,000 a year as “low- and middle-income” – even though that income level would put those taxpayers in the top 0.5 percent of all individual Americans.    Continue reading “Out of touch: Republican House members think $450K/yr salary is middle class”

Fox News anchor Shepard Smith infuriated a large number of the network’s viewers on Tuesday after a six-minute segment in which he debunked far-right conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton’s alleged wrongdoing in a sale of American uranium.

The segment was surprising given that a number of broadcasters on Smith’s own network have promoted the idea that Clinton broke the law in approving the sale to foreign buyers who also donated to her husband’s foundation.

Smith said many claims about Clinton’s supposed role in the uranium sale were ‘inaccurate’ – even as President Donald Trump and his supporters are calling for a federal investigation.   Continue reading “Shepard Smith leaves viewers irate after six-minute segment debunking theory of Hillary Clinton’s ‘crimes’ in Uranium One deal”

30 million Americans who woke perfectly healthy yesterday morning are now suddenly in need of expensive hypertension treatments after the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology decided to lower the definition of “high blood pressure” to 130/80 from the previous trigger of 140/90.  According to Reuters, the change means that nearly 50% of American adults, or roughly 100 million people, now suffer from high blood pressure.   Continue reading “30 Million Americans Were Just Diagnosed With High Blood Pressure, Here’s Why…”

Well, if there’s one thing we can say about this Boston Globe op-ed, it’s honest. I don’t mean honest regarding facts or anything, but honest in detailing what gun control advocates really, really want: confiscation. In light of the recent mass shootings in Texas and Las Vegas, the usual characters stepped out in front. The National Rifle Association is evil, we need more background checks, and it’s the Republicans’ fault. The rancor lasted a few weeks, but as in every case, we return to reality: guns are here to stay. Guns are part of American culture. And no new gun control laws are going to get passed. Period. Why? There’s no need. In fact, none of the proposals the anti-Gun Left pushes would stop any future mass shootings. None. Background checks? Stephen Paddock, who committed the brutal shooting in Las Vegas passed all of his background checks, had zero run-ins with the law, and no history of mental illness.  Devin Kelley, an Air Force veteran who served a year in jail for domestic violence, should have been barred from owning guns after his conviction. He was court martialed in 2012 for beating his wife and stepson, the latter of which suffered a fractured skull. In 2014, he was given a bad-conduct discharge. How did he get weapons? The Air Force did not forward his criminal record to the FBI to be added into the NICS system. This shooting could have been prevented. Also, it was an NRA member who stopped the carnage from being even more widespread. Stephen Willeford lived near the church where Kelley opened fire and was made aware of the attack by his daughter. He ran barefoot across the street and engaged Kelley with his AR-15 rifle.   Continue reading “Boston Globe: It’s Time To Consider Gun Confiscation”

Have you noticed all of the news lately about artificial intelligence and robotics, including some things that sound like absolutely terrible ideas? It’s like scientists are deliberately trying to bring on a robot apocalypse. They clearly don’t watch the same movies that I do.

People are getting more and more onboard with this type of technology. From Alexa to Siri, humans are interacting with artificial intelligence on a regular basis. Siri makes jokes, making the voice from your phone seem more human. It all seems so non-threatening until you look a little deeper.  Continue reading “Robot Apocalypse: “With Artificial Intelligence We Are Summoning the Demon””

A 1982 artwork by Jean-Michel Basquiat sold for a record $110.5 million at Sotheby’s auction of contemporary art Thursday night.

Sotheby’s said the sale of “Untitled” was an auction record for the artist. It also set a record price for an American artist at auction. The painting’s graffiti-like typography depicts a face in the shape of a skull.

“Tonight, Jean-Michel Basquiat entered the pantheon of artists whose works have commanded prices over $100 million, including Picasso, Giacometti, Bacon, and Warhol,” said Gregoire Billault, head of Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Department in New York.  Continue reading “Basquiat painting of skull sells for record $110.5 million at New York auction”

WEB Notes: Welcome to the United States of Sin. I thought your President was going to fix that for you? Oh that will be next year right? I have a feeling next year will never come, in the sense of a delivered promise. Instead our tax dollars just went to pay for a man or woman to have their private parts mutilated and morphed into something else. Are you disturbed by reading that? You should be, it should make you sick to your stomach and do not be upset with me for spelling it out. Maybe if more people spelled it out, it might just sink into their head and we would all demand more from our so called elected officials.

WEB Notes: Had the people voted against it, they still would work to legalize homosexual marriage. We saw that here in California, the people did not vote for it, but a year or two later the state passed their own bill. More and more nations continue to turn away from God and embrace sin. I have said many times, we continue to march toward the end times, I think we are starting to jog now.

Australians have voted emphatically in support of same-sex marriage, paving the way for parliament to legalize homosexual unions before the end of the year.   Continue reading “Australians Vote In Favor Of Same-Sex ‘Marriage’ In Nationwide Postal Survey”

LAS VEGAS (INTELLIHUB) — The Nevada Homeland Security Commission planned a mock terror drill over one year prior to the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival massacre after a 2016 “Channel 8 Eyewitness News” investigation uncovered flaws in the Las Vegas Valley emergency trauma system, reveals a Sept. 7 report.

According to the report, the “three-day test” took place at the Las Vegas Convention Center between the dates of Sept. 11-13 where participants mocked up an emergency triage area.   Continue reading “Nevada Homeland Security planned mock terror drill for one year, ahead of Oct. 1 massacre”

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 13, 2017) – A so-called  “Constitutional Carry” bill prefiled in the Kentucky House of Representatives would make it legal for most Kentuckians to carry a firearm without a license, and foster an environment hostile to federal gun control.

Rep.  C. Wesley Morgan (R-Richmond) pre-filed BR172 in August. The legislation would allow persons 21 or older, and not otherwise prohibited by other laws, to carry concealed weapons without a license. Individuals would be allowed to carry concealed without a permit anyplace license holders can currently carry. Kentucky law stipulates a number of places where it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon including hospitals, police stations, courthouses, government meetings and areas primarily dedicated to selling alcoholic beverages for consumption. These restrictions would remain in place under the proposed law.   Continue reading “Permission Not Required: “Constitutional Carry” Bill Introduced in Kentucky House”

An illegal alien set out to have an “anchor baby” in hopes he could stay in the United States. However, his sick plan failed because it included sexually assaulting his teenage stepdaughter who gave birth to his child when she was just 15 years old.

The Milwauke Journal Sentinel reports:

[Horacio] Alvarado, 32, now faces three felonies for what investigators say were several years of sustained sexual assaults, assaults his wife later knew about yet did nothing to prevent, according to the complaint.

A new pill that tells your doctor whether you’re swallowing it or not has just been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

The pill – a new version of Abilify by Otsuka Pharmaceutical – will have a digestible sensor in it that will let a patch worn by the patient know when the pill is going down the hatch. The patch will then relay the message to the patient’s mobile app, and, like a game of telephone, the mobile app will send the info over to the doctor. (Of course the mobile app will have already been given permission by the patient to send this personal information to the doctor.)   Continue reading “FDA approves a pill that tells your doctor whether you’ve swallowed it or not”

Red Bluff, CA – Video from a witness has been released, giving insight into the aftermath of a police shooting, as neighbors attempted to understand why an officer unloaded 16 rounds into two dogs they described as “non-aggressive,” and then waited nearly an hour to offer medical attention forcing his victim to suffer.

According to a report from Redding’s Record Searchlight, a police officer was called to a Red Bluff neighborhood on Sunday morning after receiving reports that two large dogs were chasing a girl on a bicycle. The responding officer claimed he opened fire on the dogs because they were “acting viciously and aggressively,” and were threatening to attack him.   Continue reading “Cop Fires 16 Rounds at ‘Non-Aggressive’ Dogs, Kills One, Lets Other Suffer to Death”
