An attempted assassination of Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi went according to plan.  Except Gaddafi was not killed, however his youngest son, Saif al-Arab, and three of his grandchildren were.  Here at From the Trenches we told you that the predator drone has become the United States’ favorite means of political assassination.  Of course targeting foreign heads of state violates international law, but since when has the United States or its allies cared about any law.

In 1986 the US bombed Libya and killed Gaddafi’s adopted daughter, Hanna.  So we have now killed two of his children and three of his grandchildren.  Of course NATO is denying targeting Gaddafi; I guess it was just a matter of chance that bombs that were supposed to destroy military targets hit his residence where he and his family were staying.

I was watching FOX Business this morning and Stuart Varney revealed that he had cried while watching the royal wedding.  Varney was born in England and is a naturalized citizen of the United States, leading me to believe he holds dual citizenship.

So why do I care?  Well for the same reason I care whether or not Barack Obama AKA Barry Soetoro is a citizen of the United States.  You see when Varney cried it wasn’t because he was watching his daughter get married, or even a close friend.  He cried because his pride in his British heritage became too overwhelming to hold inside.  Stuart Varney could easily be a poster child for mixed loyalty of naturalized citizens of the United States.

President Barack Hussein Obama released a long form birth certificate from the State of Hawaii, which would seem to indicate that he was born there.  Obama said the issue was “silly” and was diverting the people’s attention from the more serious issues in our country.  Sorry, no sale.

Obama spent $2 million stopping discovery in a federal law suit filed by Philip Berg.  So why would Obama spend $2 million if all he had to do was what he did today, produce his birth certificate?  Well the discovery was a little more complicated and was asking for a bit more than his birth certificate.

In spite of a constant barrage from CNN and MSNBC attempting to portray the birther issue as a conspiracy theory put forth by a handful of right wing nuts, 62% of Americans now believe that President Obama was not born in this country.  Hence CNN came forth with a so called investigation that they say settles the issue once and for all in that Obama was born in Hawaii.

So what new evidence have they discovered?  Well they showed a computer generated certificate of live birth and some old newspaper articles.  Aren’t these the documents that 62% of the Americans are disputing?  I guess CNN thinks that if one of their talking heads comes forth and says, “We have conducted an investigation and found that Obama was indeed born in Hawaii” that we the people would just say, “CNN has investigated, so what they say must be true.”

Well surprise, surprise, after investigating the situation on the ground in Libya, Senator John McCain is advocating that the United States take back control of NATO operations and commit more military assets for the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi.  Score one for the industrial war complex.  And who did they bring in to back up McCain’s position?  Connecticut’s Senator Joe Lieberman, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee.

Last week Jim Tucker, an American journalist, reported inside information he had obtained about the Bilderberg Group that outlines, in essence, a plan to further destabilize the Middle East and draw the United States into a war to subjugate Iran for Israel.

McCain and Lieberman both expounded the need to do away with Gaddafi, both hinting that our predator drones could be used for this purpose.

Senator John McCain has gone to Libya to assess the conditions on the ground.  McCain has been a staunch supporter of the invasion of Libya since its conception.  He is now saying the rebels in Libya are his heroes.  Seeing as how his own hero-ship as a Viet Nam veteran and prisoner of war is a sham, this so called rebel army should suit him right down to the ground.

Those who were in the Hanoi Hilton with McCain say he received preferential treatment and capitulated to the North Vietnamese immediately upon his arrival.  He fathered an illegitimate child with a North Vietnamese woman who was his nurse.   His son, John McCain Vu Khaon is currently Minister of Bicycles of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The United States government is sending $25 million to Libya to buy food, uniforms, and equipment for the so called rebels there.  If anyone still remembers last month when our air force first attacked Libya, we were told that we were enacting a no-fly-zone.  I remember one advocate of the project saying even just a few planes would be better than nothing.

Of course when we started implementing this no-fly-zone, immediately bombs were hitting buildings that had nothing to do with the Libyan Air Force.  We also bombed tanks and ground artillery.  I’m pretty sure tanks and ground artillery do not fly.

It is being reported that Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi is using human shields to protect himself from NATO air strikes.  It is also being reported that Gaddafi is using cluster bombs which are anti-personnel weapons that tend kill innocent civilians and have been outlawed by the United Nations.

So is this enough to outrage the American people to the point of demanding that ground troops be sent in to stop this diabolical monster?  Whoa, hold it, stop.  Maybe we better think this through.  Where else have I heard that word, “cluster bombs”?  Oh yeah, that’s right.  The Israelis used them against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.  It made one little blip on the evening news and then seemed to disappear from reality.  The Israelis?  Oh oh.

Advocates for illegal immigrants are gearing up to push their cause in the 2012 elections.  Congressman Luis Gutierrez, a Democrat from Illinois, is on a 20 city immigration tour designed to put pressure on perspective candidates to procure their promise to pass “The Dream Act” if elected.

This man is on the United States federal payroll, which is to say we the people, et. al. are going to pay for this man to travel around our country and push the cause of people from another country.  And as these people have broken our laws and crossed our borders illegally, he is in fact aiding and abetting criminals who are causing harm to every legal citizen in our country.  This man freely states that he represents illegals.   I say the only way he can support illegals is at the expense of the rest of us.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld a stay of Arizona’s immigration law.  The Arizona law provides for law enforcement to check the legal status of anyone they suspect of being a non-citizen.  When I am pulled over for a traffic stop the plate on my car and my driver license is run by the officer and if my papers are not in order I am handcuffed, taken to jail, and held until I straighten the matter out to their satisfaction.  The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has just sanctioned invasion.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer was outraged, telling President Obama that if he would do his job and enforce the law, the people of Arizona wouldn’t have to be doing it for him.   She further indicated that the federal government was trying to run the sovereign state of Arizona out of time and money in an effort to protect felons from another country.

Ousted Egyptian President Mubarak, speaking for the first time in public since his fall from power said he had committed no crimes and would sue anyone who said otherwise.  Mubarak is being shown in a kinder light in the United States these days I suppose as a reward for his stepping down with little fight.  Approximately 300 Egyptian protesters have been killed to date as what is being billed as a counter revolution seems to be materializing.  Egyptians want Mubarak prosecuted for theft and corruption.

I guess Libyan President Gaddafi showed the Africans that resistance is not futile.  I cannot believe that with 300 deaths in Egypt the U.S. has not invaded yet.  I suppose next week we will find out that the Egyptians are suing us for international discrimination and demanding as a redress that we bomb and then rebuild their country.  Hey it is only fair.

The Libyan rebels’ top military commander is evidently angry with NATO as the air strikes being provided by the U.S. led organization are too slow to crush the Libyan military to the point that the rebels can just walk in and claim their victory.  It would seem that our military is having a tough time in keeping our CIA’s promises to the rebels.

The rebel leaders are now blaming the international community for the deaths of their innocent women and children.  Apparently these rebels thought Libya was going to be another Iraq wherein the United States would come in under the guise of UN authority and use our military might to capture the country.  After which we would promptly turn it over to them and send contractors in to rebuild that what we blew up in the action.

As if things were not chaotic enough in the Middle East, a Florida preacher publically burned a copy of the Koran sparking protests in Afghanistan and attacks on our personnel there.  Many have come out in condemnation for the Koran burning preacher and there are now renewed calls for government powers and censorship.

Under the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States the Florida preacher can burn the Koran.  Though the act is disrespectful and repugnant it is protected speech.

So the United States is now allowing other countries to take the lead in providing air support to the rebel offenses in Libya.  As I’ve stated before the U.S. is the command structure for NATO and though we are not flying any missions right now, we have already pounded Gaddafi’s forces with everything in our arsenal, short of a daisy cutter or an atomic bomb.

It is being noted in the reporting coming out of Libya that the so called rebels seem to be acquiring better weaponry with each passing day.  Of course the propaganda we are being fed is indicating that the weaponry must be coming from other sources like France or England as President Obama would never take any such action without first informing our Congress and the American people.

Apparently the mainstream media is now admitting that there might be a “flicker” or even a “sprinkle” of Al Qaeda among the rebels we are supporting in Libya.  Just how many is a “flicker” and is it a “sprinkle” at the bottom or the top?  Or could it be that this whole so called rebellion is nothing more than a black-op being perpetrated via cooperation between our CIA and Al Qaeda?

If you look back in recent history it can become hard to separate our CIA from Al Qaeda as many Al Qaeda have been on our CIA payroll for decades.  It has come to the point that many in the patriot movement have properly merged them into one organization, Al CIAda.

President Obama has stated that the operations for the so called no-fly-zone will be turned over by the United States to NATO.  I just have one little problem with this and that is that the NATO command structure is the United States.  But I guess we should not be surprised as our air military offensive is being labeled as a humanitarian mission.

I am continually dumbfounded by the elite’s total disregard for the intellect of the common man in the United States.  So let’s see how the phrase “humanitarian mission” is being defined in our world today.

Those posing as our representatives have evacuated Washington DC as calls for Obama’s impeachment resonate throughout the land.  Does anyone think that just perhaps they might have timed the Libyan invasion to coincide with the government’s Spring Break?  They seem to think they have the American people so well trained that any outrage will be forgotten within a week.  Tell me it isn’t so.

The propagandists are pulling out all stops in their effort to sell the war in Libya to the American people.  In one propagandist’s stunt they had a Libyan woman supposedly come into the area where foreign reporters were being quartered and start screaming that the pro-government forces had raped and beaten her.

Syrian government forces fired on unarmed protesters Friday, killing 15.  So does this mean Syria now meets the criteria for a U.S. invasion?  How about we just quit fiddling around and enact a no-fly-zone over the entire Middle East?  This should be sufficient to drive oil prices to $200 per barrel.  And if we could actually engage ground troops we could conceivably create a military crisis which would require us to tap our reserves and institute gas rationing.

Yeah, that should work to persuade the American people to allow drilling in the Alaskan wilderness.  After which we will happily pay $5.00 per gallon for our own gas.  No let’s make that $6.00 per gallon; I forgot the federal government wants to create new tax revenues to pay for interstate highways.

New details of the Obama administration’s involvement with Muammar Gaddafi’s government have emerged as U.S. warplanes continue to bomb Libyan cities.  Apparently over the past five years the American taxpayer has provided Libya with $5 million in the form of weapons and training for their military.  And Obama’s current budget, which is under debate, is to provide for another $1.7 million.

Of course there has been a hold placed on that stipulation, but the undeniable fact that Gaddafi was recently considered a U.S. ally cannot be denied.
